    Hey guys and gals,
I went through some other posts about using widget areas in the sidebar but didn’t have much luck achieving my goals.

My goal is to use the side navigation, and have sub-nav/secondary links in under each section rather than having fly-outs. My plan is a single-page site with the nav pushing the user around, and an indicator moving with them through the navigation as i move down the site. I understand this might be achievable using the widget navigation menu but wanted to see if it could be accomplished more conventionally first, perhaqps with some custom CSS.

If not, can i please get some direction on (or a link to) setting up the navigation widget in the html_header_sidebar / Side Menu?

    Hi Josh,

Is this something that would fit what you need https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-consulting/ ?
You can use this as a base of your site then tweak on it.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey Nikko, i am using this as a base however when i add sublinks they are in fly-outs to the right. What i would like to do is nest them under each section. They will be targeted links to content on the page, for example this is how i would like it to appear in the sidebar rather than using fly-outs. In this example the user would be on the page “About Us”, scrolled down to the “Our History” section;

    About us
       Our History

       Our Ethos
       Our Team
    Services
       Service 1
       Service 2
    Contact Us
       Email Directly
       Our Address

Hi, just checking in on this. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Josh,

I apologize for the delayed response.
Since it will only be a One-Page site, do the following:
    1. Edit the homepage
    2. Edit a Specific Section (or Color Section, example: About section).
    3. Go to Advanced (tab) > Custom ID Attribute put about (just name this whatever you like, if this is on Services, put services ) then save.
    4. Go Appearance > Menus (select the Main Menu)
    5. Create a Custom Link, set the URL to #about (for services it will be #services ) then Link Text put About (or About Us) and save.
This would allow clicking on the links to scroll down to the correct section.
    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Nikko, thank you for this however it’s not what i need help with. Sorry if i was not clear;

What i would like to accomplish is the style of navigation. If you look at my example i have nested (indented under each section) links that are part of those sections. Right now if i were to assign a page under another in the navigation it would be in a fly out on the front end. I would like to nest them below the same way they are in the navigation widget.

Originally i wanted to use the Elementor plugin to accomplish this but in speaking with Rickard in another thread i learned that Elementor integration with Enfold is still on-going, so i am hoping to accomplish something similar to that. I don’t need it to replicate all of the functionality of the Elementor plugin, i just want to accomplish a similar looking menu where the sub-links nest under each section, as you will see here:

Thank you for your continued support, Nikko.

    Hi Josh,

I see, unfortunately, we don’t have this feature, I believe you can find something like that in the plugins maybe search for a Sidebar Menu.
I hope this would atleast help.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
