Hi Rikard, new thread as suggested, with private content for login details.
Burger Menu not working
and the suggested plugin caused the videos not to load properly (I’ve just moved them out of JWplayer as it relied on adobe flash, and using Enfold Video)Thanks
SiobhanJanuary 28, 2021 at 5:22 pm #1276085Hi Siobhan,
Thanks for contacting us!
You are currently using an old version of Enfold, 4.2. Could you please update Enfold to the latest version 4.7.6.4 – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/?
If you would like us to update the theme for you, please post FTP logins here privately as well :)Regards,
YigitJanuary 28, 2021 at 6:01 pm #1276090Thank you so much for checking. On the website it says that Enfold 4.2 is up to date, that I am running the latest version. For future, how would I find out if it’s not actually up to date.. Version 4.7.6.4 suggests there have been a few updates since Enfold was installed on my website.
Thank you for the offer to install the updated version.
FTP info in private content, thanks.
I hope it’s correct.
Does Enfold Child need updated too, or is that covered by Enfold?
ThanksJanuary 29, 2021 at 12:00 am #1276192Hi,
I updated the theme to the latest version and made sure mobile menu and videos are working.
To keep the theme up to date, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert Personal Token in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)
Please review your website.
Best regards,
YigitJanuary 29, 2021 at 12:26 am #1276195Thank you so much Yigit, that is fab, so appreciate the support.
I’ve read the post and will see what I can do. My web designer purchased the theme I believe, but we’re no longer in contact.
So I’ll see about getting the personal token sorted. Also my blog wasn’t loading for ages, but I did get that sorted a few weeks ago.
However, I have another page that’s supposed to pull certain blog posts with the same tag onto another page, but it’s saying “sorry, no posts matched your criteria” which was the same issue the blog post page had been having – that I fixed.
https://kinesiologyzone.com/blog
https://kinesiologyzone.com/the-health-show/ –Am I better starting a new thread for this?
Thanks so much Yigit, much appreciated on the theme update.
Kind regards
SiobhanJanuary 29, 2021 at 1:45 pm #1276294Hey Siobhan,
I checked your pages however blog posts are showing up fine on my end. Have you figured it out already?
If not, please elaborate :)Regards,
YigitJanuary 29, 2021 at 3:00 pm #1276310Hi Yigit
Yes, the blog post page I fixed.
But it’s this page https://kinesiologyzone.com/the-health-show/ which is a page that pulls certain blog posts on the page.
All the blog posts that have “the health show” as a tag. Was working before, but stopped a while ago.
When I’m logged in as admin, it shows everything. That’s why I missed it for a while.
However, when logged out, it just brings up “sorry, no posts matched your criteria” .
It’s like a 2nd blog page (and maybe that’s the issue – you can only point your blog to one page).
But it did work before.
Thanks for checking Yigit
Best wishes
SiobhanFebruary 3, 2021 at 12:00 pm #1277321Hi Siobhan,
Sorry for my late reply!
Your website is very slow on my end unfortunately even reloading a page takes time and sometimes returns 500 error.
The issue should be related to one of your cache plugins as there is no issue for logged in users. It is also recommended to use one caching plugin.
Could you please try de-activating them and check if that helps?Best regards,
YigitFebruary 3, 2021 at 1:58 pm #1277355Hi Yigit
Yes, the website is very slow – and even slower with the jQuery Migrate Helper, so had to deactivate again as I couldn’t edit/update pages with it activated.
When I reactivate the jQuery the mobile burger menu that was fixed, isn’t working again.
Some videos are playing but some aren’t. On one page, half are playing and the other half aren’t, yet set up exactly the same way? Any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong? Link to an example in private content, but it’s affecting lots of pages. So I deactivated W3 – but made the website very slow to load – checked on another laptop (not logged in).
Deactivated WP-Optimise instead, and made the website slower but not as slow as W3.
If I only keep one, should I upgrade to premium W3 Total Cache? It’s like fix one issue, but another pops up.
Thanks for all your help Yigit
Regards
SiobhanFebruary 6, 2021 at 11:56 pm #1278392Hi,
Sorry for the very late reply, as I understand you current issue was with the burger menu and the videos on /dip2021/
For me using Chrome, the burger menu is working & the videos & audios play, I randomly checked about 1/3, but there is not image overlay for the videos, is there meant to be? Since both of these seem to be working, I must be missing something.I see that the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin is deactivated right now, I also see that Autoptimize & W3 are both minifying the javascript. I would recommend only having one plugin minify the javascript.
I saw that you were getting a referrer policy error on the browser console, so I set your W3 option at Performance>Browser Cache>Security Headers to no-referrer-when-downgrade (the default option) to correct
you are still getting another errorUncaught ReferenceError: u is not defined
but I’m not sure where this one is coming from.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 7, 2021 at 11:56 pm #1278506Thanks Mike.
yes I noticed the burger menu started working again the other day. I didn’t do anything, and yes the jQuery app had to be deactivated because it was causing issues when updating the website with changes I was making.
I must have had 3 optimising apps, as I turned off one before. I’ll turn off autoptimize now and see if that makes a difference.
It did – it turned off the burger menu, messed with a tabbed table I have, and made the site load very slow.
I’ve reactivated it.
Thanks for doing the other things.
I am unaware of the “Uncaught ReferenceError” that you refer to.
I do get a “failed to load plugin” error when updating pages. Seems to be associated with WishList but I’m not sure which one, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference to anything.February 8, 2021 at 1:07 am #1278511Hi,
Thank you for the feedback, ok glad the burger menu started working again. Please see below.Best regards,

Thanks, yes if your target market is in Ireland then I would recommend finding a webhost in Ireland, jumping from the US to Ireland can make a difference. You would want to make sure the servers are really in Ireland, the web host should publish this on their site.
But the two webpagetest’s I posted above test your servers from the same state in the USA, not from Ireland, so the FBT from the same geo location should not be anything over 1 second, yours was about 7.
Most webhosts will give you a month to test.
The FBT is due to your server not your site, you can not reduce your FBT.
If you have unsued plugins that are active, then disabling them could help over-all. For your videos you could try adding a fallback image and enable lazy loading, I believe this waits to load the videos until clicked.
But over-all after FBT your page is loading fairly even with videos, so I would try to solve the FBT first.Best regards,

@in3sixty thank you for the login, you had the “nav bar” menu set as the main menu, which would also be the mobile menu by default, but you also had the “Alternate Menu for Mobile” set to the “nav bar”, I set this to “Do not use an alternate menu for mobile” and now your mobile menu shows correctly. Please check.
For future issues please open a new thread so we can assist, often a single reply is not enough to lead to a solution, and since this is not your thread, posting your login here will not be private and you will not see anything we write in the Private Content area.
Thank you for understanding.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 9, 2021 at 10:45 pm #1279266Thank you so much Mike!
