We have currently the problem that the image for a post is somehow oddly cropped. Or oddly inserted.

Is there a way to adjust the positioning of the taken picture?

It seems like in the overview it is displayed properly while in details it looks weired.

Desired result: To have the person in the middle and somehow zoomed out (if possible).

    Hey kwanumzen,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The thumbnail used in the actual post page is called entry_with_sidebar and this thumbnail has a maximum size of 845x321px. To be able to adjust the size of the thumbnail in the Settings > Media panel, you have to install the following plugin, and regenerate the thumbnails.

    Hi Isamel,

thx for the suggested plugin. But this seems to solve only the issue with proper sizes for the entry_with_sidebar in a way which affects the others as well. Since we have the problem with just one post it seems highly unclear how to proceed. Cropping Center/Center won’t help much.

The main problem I see is that the preview image has a ratio of 1:1 while the entry pic has close to 2.5:1. Which makes it hard to center a single pic properly especially when a person is included.

    Any other ideas?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

The easiest solution that we can think of is to resize the original image so that its aspect ratio is the same as the aspect ratio of entry_with_sidebar thumbnail before uploading it. Unfortunately, we cannot change the size of the designated thumbnail for a single post.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
