I am translating a website that is built using Enfold using a WPML translation service provider (iCanLocalize). In the past I always created the copy of the new page manually and then inserted the translated content that I was provided in a document. This is the first time I am sending the English content to be translated directly through the WPML Translation Management plugin. I did one test page (linked below) and it worked pretty well. The only catch is the images on the English page are not displaying on the translated German page.
I did notice after going back to edit the English page, that there is a language setting/checkbox titled “Duplicate uploaded media to translations”. I checked that and updated the page, but it didn’t change anything on the German page.
If someone could help me address that before I go ahead and translate more pages, that would be great. Thanks!

Thank you for the inquiry.
“Duplicate uploaded media to translations”. I checked that and updated the page, but it didn’t change anything on the German page.
Have you tried to edit the original page and upload the images again? It is possible that ticking the option did not change anything because the images already exist, and only new images will be duplicated. Also, make sure that these settings are configured properly.

I tried editing the original page and re-uploading a couple images, but that didn’t change anything on the German/translated page. In the past when I manually create a new translated page, I would select the option to copy/duplicate the content from the original English page in the WPML language settings. Then replace the duplicated English content with the new translated content. But when submitting translations to a translation service, I don’t actually create the new German page the same way. When the translation is completed the page is there and looks fine when it comes to content, but no images. So I’m not sure what to do about that.January 28, 2021 at 8:04 pm #1276113I was able to figure out what was happening. To duplicate the same images for both languages, this needed to be done:
WPML > Settings > Media Translation > Start (with all options checked).January 29, 2021 at 3:40 am #1276207 -
