I have a page with three columns at the top which link to three different sections through the page, using custom ID’s. In desktop, it works fine. However, in mobile, the links don’t work properly. Instead of going to their section, they just go to the top of the page.
Hey albertgarduno,
I checked the first section which has the compare ID, and that looks to be hidden for mobile, that is likely why it’s not working. Please check the elements options, to verify that you haven’t select it to be hidden for mobile sized screens.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
I have the three sections duplicated. Three for desktop (and hidden for mobile) and three for mobile (and hidden for desktop), all with minor differences to be better displayed on desktop and mobile screens. However, the ID’s are the same. So, the first section has the #compare ID for the desktop module and for the mobile one, the second section has #sustainable ID for the desktop module and the mobile one, and the third section works exactly the same with the #conflicts ID.
Thank you!
Best,
Albert
Hi Albert,
Thanks for the clarification. You can’t have duplicate IDs on a page unfortunately, since it will look for the first section which is hidden. If you want to keep your current structure, then you will have to duplicate the element which contain the links, and give them new links, and new IDs to the elements which are visible on mobile.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard, thank you very much for your help. The issue is solved.
