    Hello,
I have a submenu over the entire length of my page and on scroll down it should stay sticky on top of the page. It’s correctly set on each page, but it’s not working. On scroll down the submenu just disappears.
Please be so kind and let me know where there’s the mistake.
    Thanks Nora

I just tried a theme update to resolve the submenu issue and all of a sudden the entire site is not scrolling smoothly anymore. it’s kind of jerking (if that’s the right word) as soon as I start scrolling down. The submenu problem hasn’t been resolved either…

So I changed back the older ENFOLD version but this problem remains.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Hi Nora,

Sorry for problem. Are we allowed to temporarily active the new version, in order to check the behaviour on your site? Also, does this happen if you activate the parent theme, or when using the child? If it’s present when the child is active, then please include FTP login details in private as well.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
Yes you are allowed. However, the problem is showing now in the old and the new version. So that’s weird.
I only updated the parent theme. The child theme is active, on scroll down it’s acting weird and the submenu still isn’t sticky.
Thanks so much for your help.

    Hi,

Thanks for that. After researching this for a while, I realised that this is actually how it’s supposed to work, when using the mobile menu for desktop as you are on the site in question:

If checked the menu will stick at the top of the page once it touches it. This option is ignored when burger menu icon is shown.

Maybe you want to activate the regular menu, and only use the mobile menu for smaller sized screens?

    Best regards,

    1. I checked it on 4 different browsers and on different computers and the menu NEVER STAYS STICKY ON TOP ON SCROLL DOWN. Nowhere. I understand that on mobile it’s the case, but in the desktop version it always worked fine, on scroll down the menu stayed on top, but now it’s not like that anymore. So there must have happened something because of an update.
    2. Also, all of a sudden on scroll down the page is not scrolling smoothly. What could be the reason for that???

I updated the enfold parent theme, but am using enfold-child for this page. Do I need to update enfold-child as well?
    Thanks Nora

Please, there has to be a way to get rid off the weird trembling of the page while scrolling down. This is totally new, I never had this issue before….

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    1. Like I wrote above, that is the way it’s supposed to work when you have selected to show the burger menu for desktop. You can try to switch to the regular menu, and you will see that is sticks to the top. In other words; it works as designed.

    2. I can’t see anything like that on my end using Chrome, in which browser are you seeing that?

You should not have to update the child theme.

    hi,
    1. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. I have NOT selected the burger menu for desktop. I want the submenu to show in full text in the desktop version – which it does. So maybe I’m getting something wrong here. I havn’t set it to burger. I’m talking about the submenu that shows over the full width of the page.
    2. I see it on a mac and a pc in chrome, firefox and safari. It wasn’t there before, it just happened recently. On scroll down it’s not working smoothly, it looks like the images are blocking the page from scrolling down smoothly.
    Thanks Nora

    1. AH, I understand now: I set the MAIN MENU to BURGER, that’s the conflict then, right? Because I have 2 menus, is there a way to set only the main menu to burger and still have the submenu stay sticky on top?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    1. Exactly, if you have selected for your main menu to be shown as burger all the time, then this functionality won’t work, as stated in the description next to the checkbox in the element options. We don’t have a solution to get that working when the burger menu is active for desktop unfortunately.

    2. I checked in Chrome, Firefox and Safari on OSX, but I still can’t see any problems on my end. Could you record a screencast of the problem please? You could try to install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/, and change the jQuery version to 1.12.4 in the plugin options, to see if that makes any difference.

Hm, I installed it but it didn’t really help.
BUT: I found out, that this scrolling problem ONLY appears on pages where there is a background image set to PARALLAX. No matter if it’s just one image, that’s enough to make the entire subpage weird on scroll down.
It’s so weird that this problem didn’t occur before. Unfortunately I have this setting a lot.

Is there any plugin that might help with Parallax Images?

    THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
    Best, Nora

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I checked the page in private, which is using parallax images, but I’m still not seeing any problems on my end?
The theme parallax setting should work without a plugin, and without strange scrolling behaviour, so I can’t really recommend a plugin for you.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
