Hi, given the new WordPress 5.6 version, can I update my site having peace of mind enfold is fully safe and compatible for my site?
Thanks.
December 10, 2020 at 8:33 am #1266215Hi Samuel,
I have updated to WordPress 5.6 and checked both backend and frontend and all is working properly.
However, I’m not sure if some plugins won’t break.
I would suggest creating a staging site ( https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/ ) then apply the updates there first and check if it breaks on your site.
Even if it’s successful, make sure to still have a backup on your live site.Best regards,
NikkoDecember 10, 2020 at 10:55 am #1266241Hi, after updating to WordPress 5.6 yesterday I noticed that when I add images to the Masonry Gallery the images is visible on the Add/Edit Gallery page
HOWEVER not visible once I clicked add to gallery and save (as seen in screenshots).
So after WordPress update 5.6 I can see Masonry Gallery but I am not able to update it with new images…
On our development site (not updated) Masonry Gallery can be updated w/o problem as seen here:

When I added new images totally different images was displayed front end, very weird!

December 11, 2020 at 12:43 pm #1266522Hi IntelligentSolutions,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I have inspected the page you mentioned and it shows the problem similar to the screenshot posted and I have inspected it on the pages with masonry gallery on my enfold site and the images are there and working properly.
The thing I noticed on the frontend of that page are images are either returning Mixed Content Error and 404 Error Not Found, you can do this by right clicking on any part of the page and select Inspect Element, then go to Console. I created a page on your site just to test if the issues can be reproduced (test page link in private content) and it works properly. Another thing I noticed is that on Pages there are missing images showing (screenshot in private content). I can only conclude that the issue most likely triggered during the update but I’m not sure if it’s because of Enfold theme, because the plugins as well as the server also plays some role in it.
All missing images (returns 404) are pointing to the same folder (link in private content).
Also the workaround I can suggest is to recreate the affected masonry galleries.
I hope it helps.Best regards,
NikkoDecember 13, 2020 at 4:36 pm #1266904Thanks Nikko for your reply. It seems like two of the images I tried to include was in. tiff format. after saving them as jpg I was able to include in gallery so hopefully the error was only because of this :). Thanks once again for your excellent customer support! Best regards Johan
