    Hi,

    suddenly nearly all settings I set in the child-themes options panel are ignored. I already replaced the
    enfold theme manually via FTP but it didn’t help. WordPress is updated too and I deactivated all plugins
    as well to check if they are causing the problem.
    Actually I try to change the link color of the main menu and it’s background color but there are no styles applied
    regarding colors..

    Any suggestions what to do?

    Hej Rikard,

    the issue that settings we make in child-theme options don’t reflect in the frontend
    happens on many if not all items. In the beginning everything worked fine – my college
    said “out of nothing” everything he adjusted (colors in menu, background-color in menu)
    “streched layout”, custom css (allowing lowercase letters in section headlines as well) is not visible in the frontend
    anymore. We updated WordPress itself, uploaded the newest Enfold version via FTP and we
    exported all settings and re-imported them again without success.

    Hope you can have a look at this problem – I posted the needed credentials into the “private content” textarea.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    This might be due to the theme’s Performance > File Compression settings or the cache plugin. Please try to disable the compression settings and the cache plugin temporarily or while you are still working on the site configuration.

    Hi,

    unfortunately that does not help. I disabled “CSS file merging and compression” and “Javascript file merging and compression”.
    There is no cache Plugin installed yet so I can’t disable that. Btw the switching the”merging” option doesn’t make a difference
    either. I checked the “network” tab in chrome and no matter what I define in the settings the site is loading 40+ CSS and 30+ JS files.

    Would be nice if you could took a quick look at the backend with the provided credentials – our client is asking for progress
    like ever few hours…

    Hi,

    Thank you for following up.

    It was not working properly because of a few invalid color values in the General Styling panel. There was a color option containing double hash tags and a missing one on the other. We corrected the values and saved the theme options. We also removed the shortcode in the private field because it seems to be breaking the layout of the page. Have you tried using the Widget Area element in the advance layout builder instead of adding the shortcode directly?

    thank you for taking care of our issue and fixing the errors! I didn’t set up the content of the page so I don’t know how the shortcode was inserted but I’m going to talk with my colleague and find the right widget to paste the shortcode in.
