So why am I getting emails from Themeforest about Enfold being updated? I downloaded the file and it the same version as before including the changelog.

Could you share the content of the email you received please? When we update the theme on Themeforest then they send out automated emails to users about that, any other emails coming from them is out of our control.

RikardHi Rikard, thanks for replying. I actually deleted both received already but I confirmed they were definitely from Themeforest. I have two separate accounts and got one on both. I checked and saw there was bo official update which is why I asked.
i`ve became the same email from: (Email address hidden if logged out) at 26.11.2020
login in wordpress; goto enfold update check manualy and the answer is: Keine Aktualisierung verfügbar. Du verwendest die letzte Version! (4.7.6.4)
the question is, why ThemeForest send this email, or is it a fishing email?

Sorry for the confusion, the email notification was actually not intended. We only updated the theme description to reflect the Black Friday/Cyber Monday discounts :)

YigitThanks Yigit, apparently Envato needs to fix something on their end. We shouldn’t be getting update notifications for anything other than when the actual download package has been updated.
I wouldn’t complain!
I just bought another 5 copies while it is on sale. Thanks for notifying us of the sale! This isn’t a bug it’s just good marketing – That perhaps is not relevant to users who only have 1 website. But for developers like me – THANK YOU for the heads up!
Please dont fix this with Envato. I’d prefer you to notify current users when a sale starts.
If you go into wp-admin and check for updates its pretty easy to work out that there is no update – But oh look! Enfold is on offer!
