Tagged: blog posts element
Hello
I am working with a site which has FR and EN translations.
The homepages have a Blog Posts element which is pulling 2 posts of a specific category.
On both Fr and EN homepages, the element and settings of that element, the blog style, the Additional CSS in theme settings, etc. are identical, yet the result is different.
On the EN side (which is what we want to keep) the images or to the left with the title and excerpt to the right. on the FR side the images are above, centered, the title and excerpt below.
I tried activating debug mode to see if there was any difference in the shortcodes, and there was. But copying the EN shortcode to the other didn’t make a difference.
What am I doing wrong?
Hey Commun-IT,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Did you set the Enfold > Blog Layout > Blog Layout settings to the same option for both languages? Also, please try to edit the Blog Posts element in the page and make sure that the Content > Select Entries > Blog Style on both languages are set accordingly.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hello Ismael,
Enfold settings for the Blog Layout are the same (Single Author, Small preview pic) as is Custom CSS.
Blog Posts element in the page under Content > Select Entries > Blog Style on both languages are set to Single Author, Small preview pic.
Could you login and take a look?
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The difference was in the pages’ Layout > Sidebar Settings. The FR version was set to No Sidebar, which is why it is displaying the full width version of the Blog Posts element. We set the sidebar settings of the FR page to default same as with the EN version.
Best regards,
Ismael
I see. Wow, I had no idea sidebar setting could affect layout of individual elements to that degree.
Thanks and consider the case closed!
Hi,
I’m glad this was resolved. If you need additional help, please let us know here in the forums.
