Greetings.
The problem is this:Installed Child theme – Imported settings from Parent theme. But after updating the theme, all settings disappear ((Maybe I’m doing something wrong ((
A lot of settings were added: Function.php, includes and other theme files. After the update, all the tinctures disappear and you have to manually add them again …
When the Parent theme is updated, the Child theme is also updated automatically. That is how it should be?
The cache and all the recommendations followed, as written in the instructions. But it still does not work (
Help me please.
November 1, 2020 at 9:09 am #1257416Hey Konstantin,
Thanks for the login token. I see that you have the parent theme active now, are we allowed to activate the child and then update the parent? Only the parent theme is updated, the child is never updated automatically.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 1, 2020 at 4:30 pm #1257452Yes of course. Try updating. The main thing for me is that all the settings are preserved! Otherwise, I have to roll everything back.
I tried Update – my Theme was updated, but the settings disappeared ((
Somewhere I have added Breadcrumbs, somewhere corrected <time> to <span>. My point is that the fixes are enough.

November 4, 2020 at 5:54 am #1258174Hi,
Thanks for that. If you have added code to functions.php and other templates in the parent theme, then you would have to move that code in your child theme. Otherwise they won’t apply when activating the child.
Also please note that what you are indicating in you screenshots are not settings, it’s code. And that code will be overwritten on updates, if it’s placed in the parent theme.

RikardNovember 4, 2020 at 8:09 am #1258182How do I move the code I want to Enfold Child from the parent theme? There, after all, the necessary files ((
1. include> loop-comments.php – This code file is not present.
2. includes/loop-index.php – This code file is not present.
3. config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/postslider/postslider.php
4. Single.php, Archive.php – These files are also missing. How can I transfer the settings to the Child theme so that when I update the Parent theme, I don’t have to add the Code manually every time?

November 6, 2020 at 5:17 am #1258791Hi,
Thanks for the update. You need to copy all the templates you are overriding into the child using and FTP client. Simply download them to your local computer from the parent, then upload them to the child after that.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 6, 2020 at 1:34 pm #1258858Thanks. I will do so!!!
