    Hello,

    my website stops loading after Enfold auto updates to the newest version 4.7.6.4. After changing the theme back to the default WP theme, the website does load. Could you help me troubleshoot this? Admin log in works. I have overwritten the theme files with a manual download through ftp but that doesn’t help at all. I am using Enfold Child Theme.

    When you’re there, please feel free to disable the maintenance mode to test the live page.

    I have checked for error_logs on your site and could not find one, I also tried to enable WP Debugging and logging it however it does not produce any.
    Phpinfo shows that display_errors are turned off on your site, can you try to turn it on?

    Hi Nikko,

    sorry for the very late reply. Maybe you haven’t found the error because you didn’t turn on the plugin? You have to turn on Borlabs Cookie, then clear Page Cache using Hummingbird, and then check. The website will fail to load. Feel free to try this on our live website, I don’t really mind as long this problem could be solved.

    I wasn’t referring to that, I did see the problem but the reporting for errors is turned off but I don’t think it’s relevant anymore since the issue isn’t PHP.
    It’s a three-way conflict that I found and the involved parties are:
    1. Borlabs Cookie
    2. Humming Bird
    3. Enfold’s Javascript file merging and compression (in Enfold > Performance)
    if one of the three is disabled it works properly (if it has the following setup):
    1. Borlabs Cookie + Enfold’s Javascript file merging and compression enabled = (Hummingbird disabled) works properly
    2. Borlabs Cookie + Hummingbird = (Javascript file merging and compression disabled) works properly (this is the site’s current setup that I made)
    3. Hummingbird + Enfold’s Javascript file merging and compression enabled = (Borlabs Cookie disabled)

    For now, it’s setup #2 so Enfold’s optimization with js is disabled and hummingbird handles it.

    thanks so much for clarifying a lot of stuff! I have decided to ditch Hummingbird and now it works flawlessly. Thanks :)

    Could you recommend me some caching plugin that doesn’t conflict with Enfold or is Enfold’s optimization already good enough?

    Try using WP Super Cache and check if it works better on your setup.
