Please forgive me, I am learning as I go – we all started somewhere!
I have moved from a very old WP theme which was a Child theme. I used the Classic WP editor and so I am just getting to grips with my Enfold Theme and the Block Editor.
My old site had a gallery of photographs with an information icon below each image. If you opened the gallery you would only see one picture for any one item, however, if you clicked on the info’ icon this would open a Post with a narrative about the image and importantly it would open a group of other images associated with the original image. This system allowed me to have a Page with links to Posts via the Info’ icon. I created this in the text editor of the Classic Editor. I’m wondering if I can do the same with Enfold. If so can anyone offer advice or ideally a YouTube video. I’m completely open to suggestions.
Many thanks in advance.

Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 11, 2020 at 8:52 pm #1252096This is a link to my early website. You can see an image with an info’ icon below it. Clicking on that icon brings up a narrative about the image and also brings up a bunch of other images from the same location.
This works for me because I don’t flood a gallery with dozens of images from the same location. It allows me to have a gallery with only a few photographs rather than hundreds.I think I need to build a gallery with Enfold that has sub galleries within each gallery. I’m just not sure how to go about doing this.
Thanks for replying on a Sunday

Well, that is basically a link to a post or page with text and gallery.
You can choose to make posts with text and a gallery and the overview page can be a masonry.
Something like this:
Please let me know if you need more detailed steps :)

VictoriaOctober 11, 2020 at 9:45 pm #1252112Thanks Victoria,
Detailed steps would be great, but I’d probably get lost following them. I have been following this excellent tutorial, however, it does get a bit confusing because the Dutch guy isn’t quite creating his site as I intend mine to look. I will play around with the Masonry Gallery, trial and error seems to be a good way of learning. If you have time to make detailed steps I can try to follow them, it’s up to you, I can’t deny I find it hard to follow in written form.

October 15, 2020 at 7:47 am #1252933Hi,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Instead of using the gallery, try to use the Image and the Column elements to manually create a grid layout. Inside each column, you could insert additional element such as the Icon element with a custom link and a Text/Code Block element for the image description or summary.
If you really want to use the Masonry Gallery, you might be able to add a custom link in the excerpt or image caption.
Best regards,
