Hi Guys,
Only a quick one.
I get this warning in the custom html ALB element when I enter a shortcode.
Warning: Characters <,>,[,] might break ALB backend or frontend. Read more if you want to use them.
I am assuming that this is just to stop silly mistakes. Like leaving an open bracket in this box which would prevent the next shortcode in the ALB from loading correctly?
I’ve not seen any issues with complete shortcodes entered into this box myself – And I do this on all of my customers websites.
Hey Thomas,
Yes, that text is to alert users to properly close their custom code, as open markup or shortcodes can break the Layout Builder. If you paste complete shortcodes or markup then you should not have any problem.
Best regards,
Rikard
Cheers Rikard,
I’ve only encountered this problem once when copy and pasting testimonials into the testimonial grid ALB element.
Emojis and creating hearts like this <3 in comments threw it out.
