I’ve been updating my site and started to get redirected to the wrong pages. I deleted some pages and renamed another but either got redirected to an old page or got an error message to clear my cookies. That didn’t work. Then I noticed some drafts missing from the portfolios list, and this error message:
I’ve just updated wordpress and Enfold to the latest version but I still see that error message. Can you take a look before I do something that crashes the site?
I’ve been getting messages from WordPress about errors on this site (see https://kriesi.at/support/topic/error-message-from-wordpress/#post-1243661) but haven’t really seen anything wrong.

You are getting a lot of errors related to jQuery on the backend of WordPress, please see private for a few examples. Could you try to disable all plugins to see if there is conflict coming from any of them please? If that is the case then you can enable them again one by one to see which plugin is causing the problem.

RikardOctober 7, 2020 at 9:59 am #1251075Thanks will try that but the emails I am getting from wp point to a theme issue? With these kinds of errors, how will I know if disabling the plugins has cleared it up? the only error message I see on the site is in the portfolio drafts.

I found that the issue is with Rank Math, which I find strange.
Is that not compatable with Enfold? I have been switching all my sites from Yoast to Rank Math…
Should I switch this site back or is this a known issue with Rank Math?

Thanks for the update. I’m not aware of any conflicts related to that plugins, but there might be a conflict coming from a different plugin which affects Rank Math. Does everything work as expected when only Rank Math is activated for example?

October 8, 2020 at 10:23 am #1251364When it’s only rank math activated I see the error. Surprised me that it was causing issues – I sent the developers a support ticket too.

Thanks for the update. When going to Portfolio items from the WordPress menu, I see the error messages listed in private. The first plugin seems most likely to be causing your problems, are you sure that Rank Math is not working when that is the only active plugin? We would like to test for you, if it’s ok for us to deactivate plugins temporarily? If you don’t want to test on your live site then please copy it to a staging site.

I disabled all plugins and isolated rank math as causing the issue.
Do you see an issue with another plugin?

Thanks for the update. I tried deactivating all plugins but the error in your initial screenshot is still appearing. The error messages in the console did disappear though. What happens if you delete that portfolio item and try to recreate it? Also, please review your active plugins, as I might have activated too many after deactivating all of them.

Thanks for the help. I didn’t realize that error message was targeting a specific portfolio item – I trashed that item and it also had the error when in the trash so permanently deleted it. No error message now. I’ll check the plugins.

Thanks for the update. Those errors should not be ignored, but I’m not sure what is causing them unfortunately. How often do you get emails about that, and are they coming after any specific type of action on the site? Also, are you still getting them after deleting the problem portfolio item?
