Hi there,
I need some assistance with an issue with the Ultimate Member plugin on one of our sites that appears to be caused by Enfold. They used to work fine together so I am not sure if this is related to a recent update.
First of all, we received an email from a user saying that when they edited their profile it wouldn’t save, but upon investigating, we found that the user page is no longer showing all the custom fields that it should.
It’s definitely caused by Enfold, because when I enable the Twenty Nineteen Theme only it works as expected and shows all custom fields. Also, when Enfold is enabled, clicking the checkmark to save the edits in the one text box that’s showing just reloads the edit page.
For speed, I have already created user access on the staging site for your team to take a look, details are in the private content box.
September 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm #1243944Hey Jewels007,
I’m sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the login details. I can’t see a URL for the site though? Please post that in private as well.
Also, we don’t have any official support for the plugin in question, so our support is limited when it comes to problems like these. We will try to help out anyway though. Comparing a default WordPress theme and Enfold doesn’t really say much either, since Enfold has so much more more features than the default WordPress themes.

I’ve just put it in the private content box.
Any assistance that you can provide is appreciated :)
September 9, 2020 at 3:49 am #1244529Hi,
Thanks for that, login details are working. I activated Enfold on the site, but I’m not sure how to reproduce the problem, since I’m not familiar with the plugin in question. Could you give us step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem please?
Best regards,

I have added a link to a profile that you can test on in the private content box below. The logins for the pop-up box are the same as those given above. It doesn’t look like I can attach screenshots here – but to reproduce the problem, you just need to disable/enable Enfold and then go to that profile to see the difference. You will notice that when Enfold is disabled all the fields show up such as company, website URL, services offered, additional information, zip code, coverage area, and social media links. When Enfold is enabled, everything disappears apart from the text box at the very top (Hello! I’m Jewels.)
Thank you for looking into this!
September 11, 2020 at 4:00 am #1245040Hi,
Thanks for the clarification, but I’m not seeing any difference when TwentyNineteen is active for example, please see screenshot in private. Am I missing something maybe? Also, I’m seeing some error messages on the page (in private), I’m not sure if they are related though.
Best regards,

I have just had a look and the behavior appears to have changed, which is weird.
Now, as a user, I can edit the custom fields when clicking Edit Profile while Enfold is enabled – before they weren’t showing up at all on Enfold, only the text box at the top. Changes now save when clicking Update Profile or the checkbox, but the completed fields don’t show up on profile (View Profile) when Enfold is enabled. When Enfold Child is enabled, the custom fields don’t show up when clicking Edit Profile, or View Profile.
I have reached out to Ultimate Member and they’re insisting that it’s a theme (Enfold) conflict. I found this thread on WP support, I could be way off, but maybe this helps narrow it down? https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ultimate-member-2-1-6-theme-menus-breaking-changes/

Thanks for the update. I tried logging in again but the WordPress details are not working anymore, please check and verify.
