    hi
    I have just updated a site to WP 5.5 but the Enfold admin menu is not working
    the Theme Options page opens but there is no side menu and nothing can be changed

    I have Enfold version 4.2.6 installed – maybe that is the problem and I need a newer version ?

    I am using a Child theme

    to update to alter version of enfold do I just FTP the newer version in place of the old ?

    also – many other themes I use have an easy click to update function
    is that b not available with Enfold?

    I FTP’s the newer version up and replaced the old version of Enfold

    the Enfold admin works fine now ;-)

    Hi smarta-brett,

    It’s available in Enfold (Enfold > Theme Updates) however because you are still using 4.2.6 this option will not work since it’s designed to use an API key for updating but last year Envato has changed from using an API key to tokens and currently API keys aren’t being used anymore.

    For now you can update the theme manually via FTP or use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    After you have updated Enfold, please register it with a personal token so you can update it next time via Enfold > Theme Updates.
