I am often confronted with error reports on the Enfold “Theme update” page on customer websites, when I try to release a theme update. In one customer website there is a permanent 403 error report for weeks now, supposedly caused by the Enfold username and mail address (…”could not be accessed”). But I can’t find any problem. I am even logged in at the themeforest account of the customer – and there is no error report.

Fortunately on the Enfold theme update page there is a link “Check manually” – and the theme update worked out – so I have now the latest theme version. But the error report remains – please read the following report. Already the headline “Pleas verify the key” is irritating and seems to be not logical, because I verified the key before, of course. Otherwise the error reports are completely different. So here is the complete report:

    Please verify the key.
We checked the token on 2020/08/20 08:27 and we were able to connect to Envato and could access the following information:

    Your purchases
Username could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
E-Mail could not be accessed (needed for your information only)
    Following errors occurred:

username Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – code: not_authenticated
email Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
    – code: not_authenticated
If you ever edit the restrictions of your personal token please re-validate it again to test if it works properly
    Theme Updates

No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.7.6.3)

    Check Manually
    Your PHP version: 7.0.33
Last successful check was on 2020/08/20 08:33.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks! OMG – the required token permissions in your documentation differ extremely from the documentation in the WP plugin “Envato Market”. There are only three permissions. And I made already the experience, that it did not work after I chose just one more permission.

    Hi Dominic,

Thanks for the update. If you set the permissions to the ones detailed in our documentation then it should work, please try to it out and get back to us with the results.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
