I think it’s necessary for you to start using a child theme now since a lot of upgrades is happening on WP, Enfold and even plugins.
The more it is delayed you’ll have compatibility issues.
For now, I suggest you create a staging site, here’s a tutorial on how to do it: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/ so changes can be made without affecting live site.
In the staging site, the first thing that needs to be done is to transfer all the tweaks to the child theme and use an unmodified Enfold (parent) theme.
The next step after that is to update both WP and Enfold.

Please create a staging site first as requested and give us admin access on it.
Then if you can tell us where you made the tweaks, it would help us a lot, if you forgot then that’s okay as well.
