I can’t figure out why my product photos are blurry in woocommerce. Here is a link to my site product page: https://www.mountainmat.com/shop/carry-strap-for-solo-mountain-mat/

You can see that the large picture is blurry. It shouldn’t be the resolution. I uploaded 1100×1100 px photos for these images and the gallery size is 1050×1050 — so mine should be fine, right?

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hey JenniferHillberg,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi JenniferHillberg,

Thanks for giving us admin access :)
Since you used a Gallery element for this, the reason why it’s blurry is because the image size was set to 300px x 300px.
To fix this I have modified the gallery (in the link you gave), go to Styling > Gallery Big Preview Image Size, then set this to No Scaling (Original width x Original height).
It should be changed as well on all your products.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Nikko – one more question — should I be using a different element for the product pictures? Is there a better way than what I chose?

    Hi JenniferHillberg,

No, I think you made a great choice and creative in picking which element you want to use :)
Just use the element that you think is best fit for your site.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
