What is the best way to customize the secondary menu in the top header bar? In particular, we would like to be able to change the background color behind the menu text on hoover, similar to how the social media icons work in the top header bar.
Hey Mike,
Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?
Best regards,
Victoria
I would like the secondary menu to work similar to the menu at the top of the https://gabbyhome.com/ website.
Hi,
Thanks for the clarification. Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
nav.sub_menu li a:hover {
background-color: white;
}
Best regards,
Rikard
That was very helpful. One minor addition: With this CSS change the background hover change is just the width of the text in the secondary menu. How can I get the background change to occur half way to the adjacent menu item?
Hi,
Thanks for the update. Looking at your site it seems like you have found a solution already? If not then please try to explain a bit further.
Best regards,
Rikard
I think I’ve been able to figure out most of this on my own. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Hi mikeschumann,
Glad you got it working for you! :)
If you need further assistance please let us know.

Hi !
I would like to add in some colour social media icons into the top header (socket?), instead of using the social media option in the theme. If I disable the social media option, how would I go about adding a Button Row to put the new icons into ?
Perhaps as a suggestion to develop the Advanced Styling options, this could be used to change the icons to unique image files ? I’m asking on behalf of my developer who is not familiar with Enfold…
Hi SolingLover,
Please start a separate thread, describe your issue there, and give us a link to your website.
