    In the masonry gallery for portfolio’s you can manually style the images to create landscape, portrait or extra big images by using tags.
    A good example for this is demo: https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-minimal-photography/

    It would be great if the same can be done or masonry galleries when using images instead of portfolio items.

    Hi Jordan,

    I know the full-width masonry gallery exists.
    I fact, my question is about it.

    Unlike the portfolio / blog post masonry gallery it seems that I cannot force images to be shown as portrait, landscape or extra big by adding tags.

    Ah I understand. Unfortunately, no this is not a feature. If you would like to achieve this it would need to be custom coded by a freelancer. You can refer to this service:
