    Hello,
    is there any possibility to give different Text-Widgets different names? I’m using more than one Text-Widgets with shortcodes in my footer.

    Unfortunately they all share the same Label “Text”… this makes it quite difficult to choose the right Widget to edit. Especially if you have some other Text-Widget deactivatet and want to activate one of them again.

    Thanks for any idea on that.

    Hello Jordan,
    thank you for your quick response.

    The custom-css-class-name support is already enabled. Unfortunately there is no “Advanced”-Tab when editing the Widgets.
    I’ve done a Screenshot from the Widget-Area and marked the areas I’m talkin about.

    There are actually three different widgets with shortcodes in them. But because they are all named “Text” it’s difficult to define, wich is the one I wan’t to edit.

    Is there a possibility to change that label?

    Hi Heiko,

    If you fill out the title of each widget then the title will be included as well. If that is not what you are looking for then it might be possible to name them differently, but that would be out of scope of theme support unfortunately.

    Hey Rikard,

    thank you for your response. It’s more a comfort-thing. I guess i have to look inside the widget to find out, wich one I’m working on.

    Sometimes things are quite easy to do but difficult to find. But if there is such a big change needed, than it better stays as it is.

    Hi Heiko,

    I get why you would want some type of further identification for the widgets, it would likely speed things up when you are looking for something. The widgets in question are default WordPress though, so it’s not theme related, and changing the behaviour would likely take a lot of time and effort to achieve. That is why it is out of scope of theme support. It might be worth your time to search online to see if there is a solution out there for you to use though.
