When I view my website (please see private for url) on Google PageSpeed Insights it recommends that I “eliminate render-blocking resources” which are about 50 Enflod style sheets. It notes that there are WordPress plugins that could do the job, but I don’t want to break my Enfold site. That said, do you recommend a plugin to do this? Or is there a built in feature in Enfold. Or, should I not mess with this at all?
Thanks much.

Did you enable file compression under Enfold->Performance? If not then please try that out first of all. I can’t see a URL to your site or a link to your page speed results, please include that if you should need any further help.
Best regards,
RikardJune 22, 2020 at 4:55 am #1224469I had had it set on disable. This was due to my having problems editing my external style sheet in enfold-child. Perhaps it was a procedural issue that I was creating?
So if I enable compression, when I need to make edits to my external style sheets do I simply change compression to “disable”? Make my style edits, then return compression to enabled?June 22, 2020 at 10:33 am #1224545Hi,
You shouldn’t have to turn that off, but do make sure that you have the option to delete the old CSS and JS files activated. That switch can be found a the bottom of the Performance page.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
The “delete old CSS and JS files” option states “only recommended if you are NOT using a caching plugin”. I’m using a caching plugin, so this option should not be used?June 23, 2020 at 5:15 am #1224769Hi,
You don’t have to turn it on, but then the theme CSS file which your caching plugin has cached will be used on your site. That means that when you make changes in the theme options, then they will likely not be visible on your site until you activate the option to delete the old CSS and JS files, plus clear the cache from the plugin.
You could experiment with which settings works best for you.Best regards,
