    I have tried everything and googled for like 3 hours to find a solution but couldn’t find a solution to shorten the excerpt on our website.
    I have a page that shows the blog entries and strangely some solutions work only for the first entry which is different and not for the grid blog entries.
    Also I tried code which I entered in the functions.php and also something like 10 plugins to shorten the excerpt. But nothing from this is working.

    As far as I could see nothing is working for me and there are a lot of people having the same request. It would be great if the enfold setting would have a feature to set the specifications on the excerpt.

    Hey Stefan,

    Can you tell us what code are you using?
    Also Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Hi Shepstar,

    Thanks for giving us admin access.
    I have checked for those posts and it’s accurate based on the excerpt’s content however the excerpt field itself is hidden.
    To those fields that doesn’t contain excerpts, please fill them and you should see it working.
    The excerpt field is located at the bottom.
