    Hi, I was able to successfully create an API key, did this 4 times, and each time I received the following error.

    Could not connect to Google may with this API Key
    I did all the suggestions on the list, I pasted the thread so it was correct, no type. I didn’t have any restrictions. I re-activated all my plugins.

    Can someone please help me with this.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. It looks like you haven’t added billing details to the Google account which you created the key with. Please refer to this: https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable?pli=1

    Hi, I have set up the billing and it still doesn’t work? I created a new key, copied and pasted it and got the same message so I deactivated all my plugins, that didn’t resolve the problem and made sure there weren’t any restrictions. This isn’t the only site that I have this problem with so I’m not sure what to do next.
