    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

    You can actually define your own toggle description or label by enclosing the text in the privacy shortcode. Example:

    [av_privacy_video_embeds]This is a custom privacy toggle label for video embeds in French.[/av_privacy_video_embeds]

    Hi, thanks it’s working well except that I need to hide the one in English when on the French version of the website and vice-versa.
    I do it for the text with <span class=”fr-cookie”> content </span> but the shortcode button still appears.
    Anyway to hide it depending on the language?

    There’s no option for it by default but your solution should be enough to only display the toggle for the current language.

    Unfortunately it’s not enough. For whatever reason the english toggle disappears on the French version but the French toggle stays visible… For example :

    Hi,

    What is the css code that you’re using to toggle the visibility of the buttons?

    If you don’t have the css yet, you have to initially hide the toggles..

    
.fr-cookie, .en-cookie {
  display: none;
}

    .. then only display them on their respective languages:

    html[lang="en-US"] .en-cookie {
  display: inline;
}

html[lang="fr-FR"] .fr-cookie {
  display: inline;
}

    If “inline” doesn’t work for you, try to replace it with “block”.

    I added your codes. It makes sense but it’s still not working. The French toggles stay visible on the English version. Is there something to do with the way the language is declared in the header?

    Hi,

    As much as I see in the HTML code the span attribute fr-cookie is not containing the checkboxes but only the text. Check this please. Both text and checkboxes must be inside for CSS to work.

    Hi,

    My bad. I forgot to change selector for the FR language. Please update the code again.

    We changed this line:

    html[lang="fr-FR"] .en-cookie {

    .. to:

    html[lang="fr-FR"] .fr-cookie {

    If it doesn’t work still, try to add the important rule to the display property.

    html[lang="en-US"] .en-cookie {
  display: inline !important;
}

html[lang="fr-FR"] .fr-cookie {
  display: inline !important;
}

    Yes, I corrected it already but still no luck. This is what I have in my CSS :
    .fr-cookie, .en-cookie {
    display: none;
    }
    html[lang=”en-GB”] .en-cookie {
    display: inline !important;
    }
    html[lang=”fr-FR”] .fr-cookie {
    display: inline !important;
    }
    … and the French toggle still stay visible on the English version… Meanwhile, the English toggle disappears as expected on the French version. (also tried to use “block” instead of “inline”)
    Can’t figure that out…

    Some of the toggles or content are wrapped inside the fr-cookie element, but some are not such as this one.

    <span class="toggle-label-content">Cacher en permance la barre de message et refuser tous les cookies. Nous avons besoin de stocker ces 2 paramètres. Dans le cas contraire il vous sera demandé d'ouvrir une nouvelle fenêtre ou un nouvel onglet.</span>

    Make sure that they are wrapped inside an element with the fr-cookie class attribute or name.

    No, not at all. In the front end, we just noticed that the language wrapper are not there, so we assumed that you just forgot to enclose some of the content.

    To fix the issue, we replaced the span tag with div elements and somehow this worked.
