I used the instructions on one of the questions in the forum to import a Font Awesome package, but when I use one of the icons in an icon list, the icon shows up on a separate line and has a dot in front of it. How do I get it to behave like the fontello icons, on the same line as the text and without the dot?

The project manager had the “designer” build the thing in a theme called Salient, and I’m trying to mimic some of the visual things he did, while restoring this client’s document handling capabilities in our official theme, which is Enfold.
