    Hi,

    On this page:

The Layerslider plays a second time when the page scrolls on a mobile deice where the entire slider does not image in the screen to begin with with the bottom part below the fold. In other words I want the animation to play but I need it to be full depth which doesn’t all fit on the screen at once. So when I scroll I want it to just stay put and not play the animation second time. I have a slider also on the homepage all of which fits nicely and it doesn’t reboot when I scroll there. So I gather it’s something to do with it all not fitting, but is there a way to stop the reboot of the animation on scroll?

    Thanks so much.

    Hey tonyiatridis,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

You can set the number of Cycles or the number of times the slider will loop from Slider Settings > Slideshow panel. The default value is 0, which means that the slider will loop endlessly, so you have to set it to 1 if you don’t want the slider to repeat the cycle.

    Best regards,

    Hey Ismael,

It is set to 1. The issue is that the slider does in fact play once, but when I scroll down on the page on an iPhone the action of scrolling triggers the slider to reload. This I can’t figure why. Curiously the slider on the home page does not do this and they have the same settings as far as can see.

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hi,

The slider should only play once as specified in the cycles field. Did you enable the “Play by scroll” option? This option is only available when you activate the plugin or if you bought a license.

    Best regards,

No that’s not enabled. That happens on an iPhone on the the authors page but not on the home page and the settings are the same. Perplexed.

    Hi,
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the login and links, I tested on an Android device and when I scrolled the page the slider played again. I tried many settings in your slider, but it still seems that the scroll triggers the slider. This doesn’t occur on desktop dev tools emulating a mobile device.

I’m having the same experience. the problem is I can’t find any difference in the settings and the slider on the homepage doesn’t behave in this manner. So .. befuddled.

    Hi,
Sorry, I didn’t find any difference between the two pages settings, can we temporarily disable your plugins to see if there is a conflict?

    Best regards,
    Mike

Yes of course, though I recall trying that myself. It’s really befuddling why this happens.

    Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I found that for your mobile slider the “Allow restarting slides on resize” in the advanced settings was enabled and disabling solves the slider restart issue for my Android device. Please clear your browser cache a few times and check.
This setting is independent for each slide and is hidden by default so you will need to switch the Advanced Settings button to see it.

I checked your homepage slider and this was disabled so that would explain the difference between the two.

Wow. How odd that would have been on by default somehow I never even knew those settings were there. They were off on the home page mobile slider.

Thanks for figuring it out I spent hours trying all kinds of things and it was something that simple.

You guys are the best. That’s why I use your theme exclusively now. I now have 8 licenses directly and 6 others where the client registered themselves, and it’s because the theme is great and the support is amazing. Thanks again. Topic closed.

    Hi,
Glad to hear this helped solve it, and thank you for your patience and for using Enfold.

    Best regards,
    Mike
