    Is the Advanced Layout Editor intended to be used with blog posts? When I attempted to use it, the featured image that I had set did not display. If it is intended to be used, are there any drawbacks to using it? Do most people use the standard editor?

    I am mainly interested in using it so I can show other recommended blog posts at the bottom of each post.

    Hey ihf-eramstad,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Yes, you can use the advance layout builder (ALB) for your posts but all default elements including the featured image will not display because the ALB uses a different template, which is basically a blank canvas or page. You have to add the featured image manually.
