GuestHello,
I had a friend build out my website a few years ago. It has not been updated really since it was built and looking to make some additions to it.
I started using Elementor and been having issues with it playing nicely with my Envato theme and keep encountering issues.
I wanted to see if this is possibly because my theme has not been updated in some time.
Would an update to the Envato 4.4.1 theme I’m currently running be the fix?
Thank you in advance for your help!

I’m not sure if an update would fix your problems, if depends on what they are. We would have to see them to be able to tell for sure, or to try to debug them. We don’t have any official support for Elementor at the moment, but we are working on it.

Thanks for contacting us!
Without seeing the issues, we cannot really answer your question. If you started having issues after updating WordPress or the plugin, updating the theme might help.
Please ask your friend who purchased the license for you to update Enfold to the latest version. If you are no longer in touch, you can create your own ThemeForest account and purchase your own license – https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990.

You can upload your screenshots on imgur.com or Dropbox public folder and share the links here privately. We only provide support through this support forum.
1- If you have made modifications on theme files without using a child theme, those will be overwritten. If you are using a child theme or have not made any modifications on theme files, it will not affect.
2- Yes. You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate a Personal Token and insert in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates.Best regards,

I am not really sure what exactly you mean when you say “isn’t working too well” :) Please try and elaborate.
1- I think the easiest way is to ask your friend. Since they setup your site, they would know in case they made any modifications. You can compare theme files as well. We would recommend you to create a development environment and update the theme there firstly.

If so, were you able to figure out what the issue with the credit card images are on the checkout page and why they’re being displayed very large?
Thank you!
May 7, 2020 at 9:37 am #1210655Hi,
Thanks for the logins!
I added following code to bottom of Quick CSS field
#top #payment ul.payment_methods li img { max-width: 90px; }
Please review your website :)
Cheers!

I see that you are using v4.4.1, once you update you will see an option to set the default editor to the “Classic Editor” or the “Block Editor” (Gutenberg) and then you should see the Coblock plugin options, but I don’t know if this will work well in Enfold.
You will need to update via FTP because this version was when Envato changed from the “API” to the “Token” method. The easiest and safest way to update is to download the newest version from Theme Forest and rename your current theme folder to “enfold-old” via ftp then upload the new “enfold” folder and check that your site is working correctly.
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” folder to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” folder via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.Best regards,
Mike -
