Hi,
I’m having trouble working on a post.
When i’m editing the post by using the template editor and the visual editor, and it’s well published but I can’t get the default image nor the post details such as category or date shown.
However when choosing the standard editor and the code editor, the post it’s well published showing the default image and the post details such as category or date shown. But in this case can’t work by using the template and visual editor.
Could you please help me?
Many thanks in advance.
David
Hey David,
That is the default behaviour when using the Layout Builder to create your posts. You have to add everything to them manually, including the featured image. If you want the “default” layout then you can use the Layout Builder, but switch to the default editor once you are ready to save. You can also use the default editor and use the Magic Wand tool to add shortcodes from the Layout Builder.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
Thanks for your reply. Ok for the answer, but:
When I’m using Template Editor. Why the front post is not showing the meta elements such us default iamge, author and date?
That’s the problem i’m having with this post.
Many thanks.
David
Hi David,
They won’t be included if you use the Layout Builder to create your post, but you can add an image to your post using the Image element for example. Author and date is not possible to add from the Layout Builder, but I guess you can fake that by simply typing it out manually.
Best regards,
Rikard
