Hello,
I am trying to use the new LearnDash 3.0 template for my courses and quizzes vs. the old legacy template. When using the 3.0 template, there is a problem displaying quiz results. There should be a message displayed with some statistics after a progress bar finishes, which is what happens with the legacy template. With the 3.0 template, none of that shows up. I tried a different theme and it works properly, so I’m assuming it’s something with Enfold. Not sure if you know of any conflicts or issues that might be causing this.
Thanks,

Please have a look at the following thread:

VictoriaApril 9, 2020 at 8:02 pm #1202475Thanks for getting back to me.
I did see that thread, but didn’t think it applied, but I did try it today and it didn’t make a difference. I’m not sure how to upload screenshots to this forum, but I’ve got shots of what it does when it’s working, and when it’s not.
Let me know what the best way to proceed is…
Thanks,
GregApril 11, 2020 at 5:10 am #1202812Hi Greg,
You can upload screenshots to a service like Google Drive or Dropbox, and then link to them here. Also please include admin login details to your site so that we can have a closer look at the backend.

RikardApril 12, 2020 at 5:26 pm #1203115Hi There,
I created a PDF document with some screenshots showing what happens with each template and how to change the templates. I put the Dropbox link to it in the Private Content area along with a temporary login link that last for a week.
When using the new LearnDash 3.0, which has a lot of new features I would like to use, the quiz results are not shown to the user nor are the buttons to show their certificate and other stuff as shown in the document. It does work properly with the old Legacy template which is what it’s set for now. You can take a short, two question test quiz at https://woodworkcareer.org/quizzes/test-quiz/. You can put anything in text boxes at the beginning to start the quiz; the right answers are the first answer for both questions. You can change the template as shown in the PDF under LearnDash settings to the 3.0 template (no other settings have to be changed) to see the behavior.
Let me know if you need anything else…
Thanks,
GregApril 15, 2020 at 6:33 am #1203851Hi Greg,
Sorry for the late reply. I can reproduce the problem you are describing, but I can’t see any error messages or clues as what could be the cause of the problem. Could you try reaching out to the plugin developers to see if they know why this is occurring maybe?
Best regards,
RikardApril 15, 2020 at 7:23 pm #1204126Hi Rikard,
Thanks for taking a look. I will reach out to LearnDash, but usually the first thing they ask is if it works on another theme and then have you talk to the theme developer. However, maybe they will have some insight on where to look. I’ll get back with you if they have any information that could help here.
Thanks,
GregApril 16, 2020 at 10:19 pm #1204563I’m having the same problem.

This is what Learndash support said in response:
Could they provide more detail of what they are looking for exactly. We don’t typically try to figure out conflicts with other themes. If they provide more of exactly what they are looking for than I can ask the developers to make an exception. I can’t guarantee it but they will def need more detail to consider it.

April 17, 2020 at 3:34 pm #1204730Hi Keribird,
Glad to hear I’m not the only one and that I’m not hallucinating! Are you saying that you reached out to LearnDash and that was the response you got? I can also try reaching out to them and say I’m seeing the same thing. I’m not sure what more detail we can provide them, though, since we don’t know what is causing the problem. I don’t think they have a forum like this, so I won’t be able to jump on your thread, which will make it harder to connect us. Let me know if you have any other information before I get a hold of them…
Thanks,
GregApril 17, 2020 at 4:37 pm #1204745Hi nesaw,
Yes. I had been working with them on another issue unrelated to the theme. But when I activated the LD3.0 format, I noticed several theme elements didn’t work (they weren’t necessary, so I removed them), and the quiz results were broken. This isn’t the first time a Learndash update broke Enfold elements. The message from LD is, they expect theme developers to keep up with updates.
Also, you’re correct they don’t have a forum. You have to send an email. Their response times are pretty slow right now.

April 17, 2020 at 7:05 pm #1204763Hi Keri,
Hmmm. Bummer. That puts us in a tough spot.
I did some more investigating and disabled all of my plugins and the problem went away. After turning them on one by one, I narrowed it down to WooCommerce causing the problem. However, it must be something also in conjunction with Enfold, because it works with the WordPress 2019 theme with WooCommerce enabled.
Do you have WooCommerce enabled on your site as well? If so, could you try disabling it and see if it fixes the problem on your end as well? I see there’s a major 4.0 update of WooCommerce available. I’m trying to convince myself to upgrade and see what happens. :-)
Thanks,
GregApril 17, 2020 at 7:16 pm #1204765Yes, I do have WooCommerce. I am using WooCommerce 4.0.1. I just deactivated it in my staging site and got the same result as you — the quiz results work correctly. So awesome. What do we do with that?
April 17, 2020 at 7:22 pm #1204766Hi Keri,
Good to know you’re seeing the same results, and since you’ve already upgraded to version 4 and are seeing the same thing, I don’t have to stress about upgrading immediately.
Darn good question as to where to go here; now we have three areas involved; Enfold, WooCommerce, and LearnDash. However, it does work on other themes.
Question for Enfold/Rikard. Is it possible for you to setup a simple setup with just Enfold, WooCommerce, and LearnDash and activate the LearnDash 3.0 template in the LearnDash settings and create a simple 1 or 2 question quiz and see if there’s a way to find out what’s going on? I suspect many LearnDash users are also using WooCommerce, so more will see this problem in the future. Since it works with other themes, you might be best positioned to investigate further.
Keri, any other ideas?
Thanks,
GregApril 20, 2020 at 8:53 pm #1205562I tried again to get some help from LearnDash. They’re not going to assist.
If it is a theme issue there is no way we can assist in this. Your theme developers would have to respond and provide a solution. The theme is developed and maintained by another developer. We have no access to the code or documentation and are unable to provide support for it.
I have purchased the Enfold theme for 8 different sites. It would sure be nice to get some support.
April 20, 2020 at 10:53 pm #1205589Hi Keri,
Thanks for reaching out again. I agree that it would be great to get some help on this.
Enfold, is there a chance you could take another look at this for us?
Thanks,
GregApril 22, 2020 at 3:35 pm #1206222Hi nesaw,
Credentials did not work for me. Could you please update the credentials?
Best regards,
VictoriaApril 22, 2020 at 4:09 pm #1206248Sorry, it expired! I’ve extended it for another seven days. I copied it back into the Private Content area below again, just in case…
Thanks,
GregApril 23, 2020 at 6:06 pm #1206579Hi nesaw,
Thank you for that. Frankly, there are som many plugins and the classic editor is used to edit the quizzes I am not sure how the theme is really breaking things here. I’ll ask my colleagues to have a look as I have not worked with such a combination.
Best regards,
VictoriaApril 23, 2020 at 7:09 pm #1206596Hi Victoria,
You’re right, there are too many plugins, but unfortunately, we need them. However, I did disable every plugin on the site, except for WooCommerce and LearnDash, and the problem still existed, but not with a different theme. Not sure if you guys have a test site with WooCommerce that you could install LearnDash on and reproduce the problem? Keri did the same thing and continued to experience the problem. I appreciate you pulling in your colleagues…
Keri, do you have a lot of plugins running? If not, do you have a way to provide Enfold a temporary login on your site as well so that they have more than one platform to debug on?
Thanks,
GregApril 23, 2020 at 7:29 pm #1206619Greg, yes I do have a lot of plugins, and they’re all essential.
I have provided a login for them in the private info my first post in this thread. This issue has something to do with the Learndash 3.0 framework. The problem doesn’t happen in the Learndash legacy framework. And, same for me, it is the combo of Enfold and woocommerce that creates the problem, with either one deactivated it works correctly. I previously posted Learndash developer guidelines… hopefully the answer is in there.

MikeMay 3, 2020 at 4:17 am #1209211Hi Mike,
I extended the link for another week. Thanks for taking another look at the problem. I think the link is the same, but if not, I’ve supplied it in the private content area again…
Thanks,
GregMay 3, 2020 at 1:16 pm #1209272Hi,
Thank you, I changed to the Learndash 3.0 framework and added this css and now you will see the progress bar animation and the final results.dd.course_progress { width: 100%; }
Please clear your browser cache and check.
Best regards,
MikeMay 3, 2020 at 2:19 pm #1209280Hi Mike,
Awesome, it works! Thanks so much for figuring this one out, I really appreciate it..
I see that this css was added also right before that:
.learndash-wrapper .ld-focus .ld-lesson-status,
.learndash-wrapper .ld-focus .ld-topic-status {
display: none;
}Did you put that in as well? Is that important? Just want to make sure I don’t get rid of it if it is and to let Keri know if she needs to put it in or not.
Thanks again,
GregMay 3, 2020 at 3:22 pm #1209290Hi,
I only entered the css I posted earlier, try removing it and see if it makes a difference.
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?Best regards,
MikeMay 3, 2020 at 3:22 pm #1209291Yay!!
Mike, thank you for creating this fix!
Greg, thank you for replying with the additional CSS. I added both and my quiz results are working again!
KeriMay 3, 2020 at 3:30 pm #1209294I removed that other line and it does still work. Thank you!
May 3, 2020 at 3:38 pm #1209298Hi,
Thanks @keribird for your feedback, so for future readers the full fix is:dd.course_progress { width: 100%; }
correct?
Best regards,
MikeMay 3, 2020 at 4:00 pm #1209302That is correct.
