My website maintenance service has a multi license of Enfold. They were using a license for my site PDServices.com.
I am terminating my agreement for their service and need to know how to migrate to my own Enfold license. I don’t want to lose any custom work that they have done.
I also notice there is a newer Enfold theme?
I previewed it and colors and spacing etc. were different. If I purchase the newer version (or why would I want to remain on the current version?), will any custom code take care of what I was seeing in the preview that wasn’t the same as I have now?
My website maintenance provider said it was a one time price of $59. Is that correct and then do you send notices when there is an upgrade?

    Hey,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Could you please share a link of your website privately so we can check if they have used a child theme on your site?

If they have not used a child theme and modified theme files on parent theme, those changes will be overwritten during update. However if they have customized your site using Enfold’s native features, your theme options, content and media will remain the same.

We add improvements, fixes, new features and compatibility with updates therefore we recommend using the latest version of the theme.

Yes and you can purchase an Enfold license here – https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990. After purchasing a license, you can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate a Personal Token to insert in Enfold theme options. Then you will receive notification when release new updates and will be able to update the theme with a few clicks from WordPress dashboard.

6 months of support is also included in your purchase so you can register to our support forum using your purchase code here – https://kriesi.at/support/register/ and start new threads whenever you have a question or an issue under Enfold sub forum – https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold#new-post.

Support is optional so once your support period expires, you can either extend it or not.

I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Sue,

Great! That means they have installed a child theme and that your modifications will not be overwritten when updating the theme. So your site will be fine. After inserting your token into Enfold theme options, you should receive update notification as well.

You are currently one minor version behind, 4.7.3, while the latest version is 4.7.4. You can find change log here – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/changelog/

Updates do not need to be done in sequence :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit
