Hi there,
Just found a problem on my website regarding order confirmations:
Among others I use the following plugins:
Woocommerce 4.0.1
Germanized for WooCommerce 3.1.4Settings are as follows:
Germanized – General settings: For GTC and revocation instruction I have set the appropriate pages, which I linked also in the frontend.
Germanized – E-Mails: For new orders (admin) and order confirmations (customer), I have specified that the GTC and revocation instructions should be inserted as continuous text (not as PDF attachement which would only be possible with Germanized PRO) at the end of the email.
This worked perfectly well until November 2019 when I switched from Germanized PRO to the standard version (which I only realized yesterday…). Since then just the headline instead of the complete page text is inluced in the emails. The alternate email contet box is empty. But when I add text therein it shows up in the email. I also tried to copy my text into a new page, but this does not help either.
When I switch to a standard theme everything works pretty fine. That’s why I believe it might be a problem in Enfold. Do you have any idea?
Thank you!
March 21, 2020 at 2:44 pm #1195072Hi rob,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
NikkoMarch 21, 2020 at 4:50 pm #1195096Dear Nikko,
Thanks for your reply, but I am not allowed to give access to the backend to external staff. I can make screenshots or explain whatever settings we use. But access to the backend is not possible…
Please let me know which information you need to understand the problem and to recommend something…
Thanks for your understanding!
Best regards,March 22, 2020 at 3:02 pm #1195242Hi rob,
I see, would you be allowed to give access, if you create a staging site?
If it’s not possible then please do send screenshots of settings that are not default.Best regards,
NikkoMarch 22, 2020 at 3:50 pm #1195253March 23, 2020 at 4:47 pm #1195521Hi rob,
Yes please, no need for the default settings, just the settings that you have changed.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 23, 2020 at 10:12 pm #1195577Hi Nikko,
Honestly I cannot remember which are standard settings and which settings I have changed. Thus I can only make screenshots of everything. Therefore again the questions:1. Screenshots of Woocommerce
2. Screenshots of Germanized
3. Screenshots of bothWill be pretty many pages therefore I hope you understand my question :-)
Thanks!!!!March 23, 2020 at 11:05 pm #1195587Hi Nikko,
I have now made screenshots of all settings in Woocommerce and in Germanized. Downloadlink is in the private content box. Hoipe I haven’t missed one. If you need any further screenshot please let me know.
Thanks for your support – and stay healthy!!!March 23, 2020 at 11:09 pm #1195589I have also included TXT-files which show the content of the two pages in question which do not show up in the email confirmation…
March 26, 2020 at 8:46 am #1197973Hi Nikko,
Do you need any further information from my side?
Thanks!March 27, 2020 at 12:32 pm #1198310Hi rob,
We apologize for the delayed response.
I tried to look into Enfold if there should be anything that causes when it comes to sending email however I could not find any as enfold uses the default wp_mail used by WordPress which is only actually used if you use an Enfold Contact form.
Also, I can’t seem to follow everything, since I can’t understand german language but maybe you can tell us only the important details like:
– Where do you set GTC and revocation instructions? is it in Woocommerce > Settings > Germanized > edit Revocation Terms Generator? or somewhere else?
– You mentioned it should be inserted as continuous text and not pdf attachment at the end of the email, is this set in Woocommerce > Settings > Emails > Order Confirmation (manage button)? if yes how do you insert it? is there some code like {order_number}? a screenshot with an English title would most likely help.
– I looked at the text file and not really sure which one is showing the correct email and the incorrect email, is Widerruf.txt showing the correct content of the email? I tried to run diffchecker to compare the contents though I expected them to have similar content but the other one has some extra content with the revocation but the contents seems entirely different.Best regards,

April 14, 2020 at 12:55 pm #1203554Hi there,
Do you by chance have any news for me on this issue?
Thank you!April 17, 2020 at 8:34 am #1204634Hi,
Sorry for the late reply!
We have not received such report and you are having this issue since November 2019 so there could be a plugin conflict on your installation.
Have you tried de-activating all active plugins except for WooCommerce and Germanized and check if that helps? In the meantime, we will set up an installation with your settings and try to reproduce the issue.
Regards,
YigitApril 17, 2020 at 2:07 pm #1204716Hi Yigit,
I just tried again: Deactivated all plugins than Woocommerce and Germanized. Problem still is there.
When I switch to a standard theme (even with all plugins reactivated again) the problem does not come up.
Thank you!May 7, 2020 at 6:17 pm #1210789Hi there,

Just updated to theme version 4.7.5. Problem is still there.
Any news from your side?
Thank you…May 26, 2020 at 10:42 pm #1216707Hi Rob,
I sincerely apologize for my late reply.
Since files are no longer available, I could not use your text files but when I tested with a random title and paragraph, it showed up in the email. Attached a screenshot below.
Could you please share the text you are using so I can test once again with them?
Best regards,
YigitMay 27, 2020 at 6:55 am #1216809Hi Yigit,
That’s right. After that long time the download link has expired…
I have copied the texts for GTC, revocation and data protection again. New download link is below.
Do you need screenshots of the WC settings again, too?
And when I switch to a standard theme everything works fine and properly on my end, too. Just with Enfold it does not work anymore…
ThanksMay 27, 2020 at 4:08 pm #1217006Hi,
I tested with your text too and it still worked for me. Attached a screencast in private content field below.
I also created temporary logins for my test site and attached them below. I adjusted the settings according to your posts. Could you please test on my installation?
Best regards,
YigitMay 27, 2020 at 4:46 pm #1217023Hi Yigit,
Thanks for testing. I have compared setting in Germanized > emails > General and am wondering why Terms&Conditions as well as revocation/recission have been attached to your mail although not included in there? What are your settings to make sure they are attached? And I cannot see pages where you have implemented my texts. So how did you do it?
And have you also tried to place a test order in my shop? If I switch to a standard theme the texts are transmitted, too. Only with Enfold it does not work properly.
Thank you!
May 27, 2020 at 5:35 pm #1217068Hi,
I added the text in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails > Additional Content. After your comment I corrected the settings and figured out the issue. You can check the settings and test again.
It seems like content in ALB is not recognized. Please use Block Editor on your T&C and Power of Revocation pages and add your content into Paragraph element instead :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 27, 2020 at 7:48 pm #1217131Hi Yigit,
It’s pretty imporatant to me that I just refer to the public page instead of adding the text manually – in order to avoid that the content on the website and the content in the email does not differ.
But finally it is working again. I have changed to the standard editor and everything is working properly. Thanks a lot for your help!!!!
But any idea why using the Avia Layout Architect / Classic Editor does make that many problems? I haven’t installed a plugin for this but am using this as standard feature within Enfold theme. Thus I had never expected that this causes that serious problems…
But anyhow: Thanks for your support!!!!
May 27, 2020 at 10:00 pm #1217156Hi,
I just tested it with Elementor and I could reproduce the same issue so it seems like plugin does not get the content of page builders. This is probably to make sure only HTML is used as shortcodes would not be processed in the emails.
You are welcome, Rob! And again, sorry for the wait.
Best regards,
Yigit -
