    Hey there,
Have noticed that the submit form at the footer of our site stopped working.. we were a few versions back so updated and it did not fix the issue.
When you click submit it just gets stuck at SENDING.. I recreated the widget and no difference.. I have checked the api key and thats all fine…
    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Hey mrkuji,

Sorry for the problem. It looks like you have set your front page as the 404 page in the theme options? Please try changing that to a dedicated 404 page to see if that makes any difference. If not then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,

    @mvanbokkel
sorry for the very late reply and thanks for the login, I’m seeing some errors in the browser console when testing your Mailchimp widget. I disabled your custom 404 page in the theme settings as part of my test, along with disabling your “Disable jQuery Migrate” & “Load jQuery in your footer”. I created a blank test page but noted your wp booklist plugin seems to be loading its content and echoing it in the browser console, I was hoping to test the form without the booklist plugin loaded to see if there is a conflict, did you try disabling your plugins and check for a conflict? Can I try this?
Can you clone this site to a staging site so we can test without affecting the live site?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I noticed that I published my support request twice.
Rikard responded also about the same issue.

I asked Rikard to close the other topic and that I continue my responses via this support ticket.
Rikard did see error messages coming from the file/plugin in private.
I would not be surprised if the plugin you refer to is causing the issue. The developer isn’t updating this plugin anymore. i am searching for a good alternative. Maybe there is an option for a temporary fix.
I cloned the website. Details in the private content area.

Thank you for your excellent support.

    Hi,
Thank you for the feedback and for the clone login, I first tried to disable the WordPress Book List plugin but the Mailchimp form still didn’t work, I then disabled all of your plugins except the WP Mail SMTP which is used for sending the emails, then the form worked.
I then tried enabling the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin, based on the errors I saw earlier, and the form failed again.
So it seems that it was the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin, or one of the other plugins or a combination of plugins, please try activating the plugins one at a time and test the form between each one until the form breaks.
Try saving the Html5 Audio Player PRO & WordPress Book List plugins for last in your tests, as I believe it’s one or both of these.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for all the tests. It is the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin causing the issue. It would be nice if I can find a solution for the problem because I need a HTML Audio player on the website. For the moment I have replaced your MailChimp integration with a button with a link to the external MailChimp signup forms.
I am happy to contact the developer of the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin, but I need some details on what is causing the error. Can you assist?
I appreciate your excellent support. Beside being a wonderful theme I am very happy with your ongoing support.

    Best Regards,
    Maarten

    Hi,
Thank you, can you please try installing the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and then test your Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin.
If it still doesn’t work correctly I’ll test further.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I installed and activated the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and tested the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin.
The plugin works but mailchimp still stuck at sending.

    Hi,
Thank you, in my tests, when the MailChimp form is summitted an error occurs: jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:formatted:4206 POST https://www.your-domain.info/audioplayer/6064/
so for some reason the audio plugin is firing when the mailchimp form is summitted, perhaps this is an issue that the audio plugin has a solution for, please try asking them if they have seen this before.

when I follow the browser console error, it seems to point to a CORS related function:

    Hi Mike,
Thank you for the tests. I submitted a support ticket to the developer of the plugin.
    I will keep you posted.

Very good, we will keep this open until we hear back from you.

    Hi Mike,
The developer of the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin looked into the issue and noticed that – according to him – the problem is only on my website.
He requested FTP access so he can edit the plugin and check it live. Due to fact that the problem is only on my website, he has – according to him – no way to solve the issue other then making changes just for this website.
On a personal note, I think it is a general conflict between the Enfold theme, the Mailchimp functionality and this plugin. Perhaps we can do a separate test with a fresh Enfold website, using the Mailchimp features and the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin. At this stage I will await a response of the plugin developer.
    Best Regards,
    Maarten

    Hi,
Thank you for the feedback, that is nice of the plugin author to offer to make changes for your site. We are expecting to release the next update by the end of Jan, I would recommend testing this version and WP 5.6 with the Mailchimp features and the Html5 Audio Player PRO plugin and all of the other plugins deactivated on your testing clone to see if this continues.

    Best regards,
    Mike
