    I need to make updates to a website using Enfold that another developer worked on. It looks like they customized some of the theme files, so I’m having issues losing some of those changes when I update the theme from 4.0.7 to the latest version.

    I mainly want to update the theme so I can use the “Show Custom Styles In Backend Block Editor” feature that adds a field for additional CSS classes. Is there a way to only upload or modify the files in the theme that would add that feature in the older copy of the theme I am using now? I’m hoping I can do that instead of updating the entire theme and losing the customization that was done.

    Hey NicomIT,

    I think that would be more difficult than finding the customisations and moving them to a child theme. And if you keep on avoiding doing that, then you will have this problem every time you want to update or get a new feature in the theme.
