Events Calendar displaying very badly in Enfold

hi! Love the Enfold theme and have been using it on projects for many years.
I’ve run up against something very frustrating in the combo of Enfold and Tribe’s Events Calendar. The display of lists, and display of individual events looks terrible. To test, I activate WP Seventeen for example, and the Events Calendar displays beautifully, so I see that it’s something to do with the Enfold/ Events interaction.
Some details:
I have no additional CSS in General Styling.
Both Free and Pro versions of Events Calendar look terrible. Not subjectively terrible, but real terrible. it looks wrong. Individual events have no margins, so content bumps up against the sides of the browser screen for one, and generally it all looks totally amateur. It looks great using WP 17 theme however.
Responsive view also is terrible.
The ECal short code looks terrible as well.

I’m including screenshots and login privately and really hope you can help. Events Calendar used to work very nicely, I don’t know what happened. The screenshots don’t illustrate the lack of margins, but you can easily see the problem when viewing the actual pages.
