Every time I reload the page or click to any page on my website the cookie message bar pops up, even after I’ve clicked ‘Okay’. Is this faulty? I’m using Google Chrome.
February 2, 2020 at 8:12 am #1180638Hey Kieran,
That doesn’t happen on my end, once I accept the cookies and navigate to another page then it doesn’t pop up anymore. Please try to clear all cookies from your browser or load the page in an incognito/private window.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 11, 2020 at 9:59 am #1183368Hi Rikard, thanks for your help. Clearing cookies fixed it on my browser. But if I go on my phone, or someone elses PC who’s been on my website before, the cookie consent bar pops up continuously. How can I stop this from happening? I can’t get everyone who’s ever been on my website to clear their cookies.
February 12, 2020 at 5:40 am #1183752Hi,
I’m sorry for the problem, but we can’t clean cookies from your users local machines either unfortunately. They will expire eventually though, so even if they don’t do anything then this problem will go away on its own.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 12, 2020 at 10:25 pm #1184002Okay thank you!

February 17, 2020 at 6:04 am #1185097Hi mosaic,
By default the cookies expires in a year.
Do you use a caching plugin in your site?Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 17, 2020 at 11:14 am #1185152A year!!! There must be a way to fix this. Otherwise my website is going to be malfunctioning for the next year!! That’s awful, how has this happened? There must be something I can do?
Yes I use a caching plugin. I have already tried deleting cache but that hasn’t changed anything.
February 17, 2020 at 3:59 pm #1185253Hi mosaic,
In Enfold > Performance, temporarily disable Javascript file merging and compression.
Then flush out the cache in your caching plugin, this should force your visitor’s browser to fetch new js files.
After a few days, enable it back.
Hope this helps.Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 19, 2020 at 12:14 pm #1185991I followed your instructions but over 24 hours later the problem still remains.
February 20, 2020 at 8:28 am #1186249Hi mosaic,
Can you try the following steps, you will need to check it with the other pc that who have visited your website before.
Disable Javascript file merging and compression open the homepage, right click on any parts and click View Source, press ctrl + F and type .js and count how many it would return.
Then Enable Javascript file merging and compression and do the same steps and count the number of .js files.Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 20, 2020 at 11:26 am #1186292I can’t do this as it’s not a PC I’m using it’s phone’s that have the problem. Every time I check my website on my friends/family’s phones the cookie bar pops up on every page. It’s really irritating!
February 22, 2020 at 7:44 am #1186915Hi mosaic,
I understand however the only thing I can think of is caching since the site is already properly working, therefore the cache in the browser on some of your site’s visitor caches a faulty js file but if you do what I instructed it should force the browser to load a different js file since it’s not bundled anymore. Some hosting provider has some built-in caching system which causes issues even without a plugin for example godaddy.
Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 22, 2020 at 6:30 pm #1186992I have disabled js merging and compression, cleared my cache in my cache plugin for my website, gone on to my phone (where I’m experiencing the issue) and reloaded the page and the problem still persists.

February 24, 2020 at 3:30 pm #1187373Hi mosaic,
Thanks. Can you try to list or screenshot the js files loaded in your phone that has the issue? you will need to view source.
If it’s an iphone please follow the instructions here: https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/view-source-codes-in-ipad-iphone/
If it’s an android: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/5039/how-do-i-view-source-in-the-android-browser
so we can compare it with the currently loaded js files.Best regards,

February 25, 2020 at 7:04 am #1187589Hi mosaic,
Is Javascript file merging and compression still disabled on your site?
If you view source on your site you should see avia-footer-scripts-a8e2a69a7bd6ea6782790484f57105f9—5e516231256a7.js which is a merged and compressed version of all js files, if it is disabled you should see avia.js, shortcodes.js, etc and there’s no avia-footer-scripts js.
Please do disable it which should force the use of these multiple js files that aren’t merged.Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 25, 2020 at 10:01 am #1187628Javascript file merging and compression is disabled, yes. However, after reloading my site there is no avia-footer-scripts-a8e2a69a7bd6ea6782790484f57105f9—5e516231256a7.js
It has not forced the use of the multiple js files that aren’t merged.
February 25, 2020 at 2:44 pm #1187697Hi mosaic,
If it still shows avia-footer-scripts even after you have disabled Javascript file merging and compression then it’s the caching in the server-side that prevents these changes.

February 28, 2020 at 5:15 am #1188707Hi mosaic,
We apologize for the delay.
Can you try the issue is still there?Best regards,
NikkoFebruary 28, 2020 at 12:51 pm #1188818Yes the issue is still there.
March 2, 2020 at 4:27 am #1189308Hi mosaic,
I’ll ask my colleagues to check on this, they might have ideas since I already ran out of ideas.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 2, 2020 at 1:57 pm #1189426Hey,
I tested your website on both desktop and mobile however I cannot reproduce the issue. Once I accept cookies, it does not popup on each page when I navigate, as expected.
In your last message you mentioned that issue was still there. Have you tried clearing cache on the mobile device you tested? It should work correctly after clearing browser cache but unfortunately there is no way to flush your visitors browser cache.

YigitMarch 2, 2020 at 4:02 pm #1189470This reply has been marked as private.March 2, 2020 at 5:57 pm #1189487Hi,
Thanks for your kind message.
I was not aware of your other thread. Just checked it as well but it too works fine on my end. I attached 2 screenshots in private content field.
If there was anything we can do for previously visited visitors, we would do. Since it is working fine now, maybe you could add a notification asking your visitors to flush browser cache in case they still experience the issue?
Best regards,
Yigit -
