    Hi Kriesi Team,

    I’ve gone thru the threads on this and have not found a solution that works.

    The slider is not displaying in mobile phones. I’ve tried it on an iPhone x and Android with the same result. I also tried turning off all plugins and it still doesn’t work. WordPress core, slider and theme are up to date.

    Would really appreciate some assistance with this.

    I set up a testing site so you can dig around without worrying about the live site.
    Login creds below.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey iCarla,
    Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the link, I only have a Android phone but your demo site slider is showing for me. Please see the screenshot in Private Content area. But your live site slider is not, it looks like it has this applied:

    .ls-slide {
        visibility: hidden !important;
    }

    Please check your layerslider general settings for mobile and the individual slider settings for mobile visibility.
    It’s odd the demo site doesn’t have the same settings, I assume it is a clone of the live site?
    Please check or include an admin login to your live site.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi MIke,

    Thank you so much for your reply! Yes, the demo is an exact copy of the live site. The code you mentioned above is on the demo site so I don’t think that is the issue, see screenshot here of the code on the test site and mobile screehshot in safari: https://justpaste.it/34sg5

    Strange, that you see it on your mobile, tried on mine in both safari and firefox and it was blank. do you have another phone you can view it on? I have two colleagues view the site on there phones with no luck. This is truly a mystery. I appreciate your help on this. the login to the live site is the same as the demo..

    best regards-

    Hi,
    Thanks for the screenshot, but that is a different class and rule:

    ls-thumbnail-slide{
    display: none!important;
    }

    vs

    .ls-slide {
        visibility: hidden !important;
    }

    On your live site please check the visibility of the slider in these plases:
    2020-02-01-135958
    2020-02-01-140201
    I took a closer look at your homepage on the test site, and I see you have included strange classes that don’t seem to belong to a plugin, are you migrating from a different theme? The source code includes data-slideshow="true"
    2020-02-01-133921
    since it is calling a different slideshow where the layerslider is, I wonder if there is a conflict somehow?
    On the test site I recreated your homepage using the Advanced Layout Builder, please the url in the Private Content area.
    Please clear your browser cache and check this with your mobile device to see if this works for you.
    As I understand the iPhone can be difficult to clear the cache, please try a couple of times.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    i don’t really know why the previous developer place The source code includes data-slideshow=”true” but I tried placing the slide on a page with nothing else on it and still couldn’t get it to load on mobile.

    I also tried to find .ls-slide {
    visibility: hidden !important;
    }

    and can’t seem to find it on the live site. Could i kindly ask if you can take a look..i listed the login above in private content section. it’s the same for both site…

    Thank you again!

    Hi Mike,

    I contacted the host, it is back up! my apologies. it’s all set now

    Hi,
    I’m finding a strange error only when I load your site at a mobile size,

    Mixed Content: The page at 'https://asobiny.com/demo/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://sswim.ru/?ver=4.7.2'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

    this error occurs more than 60 times in the browser console
    But I can find how this is getting added to your site. Do you also see this?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    that’s really odd, i just created that page a few days ago in order to test the slider. i don’t think it’s related to the mobile view issue since it was there before i created the demo page but i just deleted it.

    i’m really confused as to what’s happening..i just looked at the home page on my phone, and now every image in the slider is stacked on top of each other and the shopping cart is at the top, the header cut in half??? see here https://www.dropbox.com/s/1pmf20hprl4ujed/Asobi%20NY.jpg?dl=0

    omg!!

    Hi Victoria,

    thank you for your reply..that was the testing environment. the live site is https://asobiny.com/, when you load it on mobile you will see the issue…the login credentials are the same if you need to get into the backend.

    Let me know…thank you!

    Hi,
    I’m not sure, I have not seen this before. Did you once have the WordFence plugin? It has code in your htaccess file and in your root you have “wordfence-waf.php” From this article it seems these things have to be manually removed, there is also a Wordfence Assistant plugin that will remove the Wordfence firewall & Wordfence data in your database and advanced locks.
    I have not used WordFence myself or tried removing it so I’m not sure if this is normal. But the console errors to 'http://sswim.ru and net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR error concerns me.

    You also have these files in your home directory that are not normal and I can’t find any info on them from Google:
    wp-real-leaf.php
    ass.php
    wp-ultimate.php
    wp-success.php

    You said there was another developer, how long have you worked on this site with no issues and when did these issues begin?
    Do you have a backup that is from before the issues?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1181961

    Hi Mike,

    I used the wordfence assistant to remove any remaining data, hopefully that took care of that…thank you for the tip i had no idea wordfence assistant could do that.

    I also removed those odd files you listed. ass.php does not sound like it belongs in wordpress lol!

    so i checked the mobile view again in hopes this may have fixed it but no dice…this site did not have any issues up until about a week an a half ago….the home page when from not being visible on mobile to now just being off in terms of responsiveness. i tried disabling all plugins again just to be sure. still not working on mobile…

    i contacted the developers for the slider, they insist the slider is not the issue and that it’s the theme…

    what’s next?

    #1181994

    Hi,
    I don’t think this is the slider either, Please see the screenshots in Private Content area.
    This is what I see in the Chrome dev tools console when I emulate your site as mobile, 425px, these errors do not show when emulation is not used, so at full size your homepage loads fine but when loaded as mobile size all of the errors about http://sswim.ru show up? I was hoping that cleaning up those files would remove the errors.
    Do you have a server-side cache that can be emptied?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    Thank you. I will have someone look this over this weekend and will let you know what happens…

    All the best,

    Hi Carla,

    Thanks for the update, we’ll keep this thread open for you in case you should need any further help from us.

    Best regards,

    #1182682

    Hi Rikard,

    So my site administrator informed me that the console error with “http://sswim.ru” has been resolved. Unfortunately this did not fix the mobile view issue, so we are back to square one. I also tried reinstalling the theme…without any luck…where do we go from here?

    Best regards,

    Carla

    ps. i also had the webhost clear the server cache…

    Hi,
    Please ask your administer to look again, I’m still seeing 99 errors from “http://sswim.ru” on your live site with a broken layerslider and homepage.
    But on your test site I don’t see these errors and your test site layerslider is working correctly.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1183950

    Hi Mike,

    My apologies, they were looking at the wrong site.

    Since it’s is working on the test site, I instructed them to copy the entire site (files and database) over to the live site. Now it’s really confusing..the slider doesn’t show up at all on the live site and the layout is jumbled up…I don’t quite understand how the theme can work on in one place but not another.

    Then this morning, i opened the test site on my phone and it’s also not working (screenshot https://jpst.it/20Llk) The sites are on two different hosing accounts, so we don’t think its a server environment issue…

    Can you please review and advise.

    Thank you again…

    Hi,
    When I check the testing site is working correctly, the live site still has the http://sswim.ru errors
    I believe the error is outside of the theme files, so it remains when you try to overwrite the live site.
    I would delete the live site, theme, WordPress, & directory, then install WordPress again clean from scratch, then upload a new clean version of Enfold, from scratch. Then export the one layerslider slide from the test site and import into the clean site and add it to the homepage.

    Best regards,
    Mike
