    Hi, Yigit asked me to post my comment here and to add some extra information (see private content). It concerns two installations (the same website just one in Dutch the other in English). We’ve decided to keep running these websites for another few years in memory of a departed friend. Therefore, I have updated everything except for the Enfold theme. From what Yigit told me we need to switch to a personal token as of v4.5. I have no problem with manual updating via ftp etc, any help is appreciated. :)

    Thanks for the info!

    Do you have access to that ThemeForest account (attached in private content field below) or are you in touch with the person who does? If you have, you can simply go to – https://themeforest.net/downloads and download the latest version of the theme and update via FTP. To generate a Personal Token, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token

    Hi Yigit, unfortunately I have no access to that particular account otherwise I would’ve take those steps already ;) I should be able to figure out how to contact him, but I’m guessing it could take a while. But, if that’s the only way to go then I’ll give it a shot. Best wishes, Ronald

    Hi,

    If you can contact him, please do so and request the latest version of the theme and ask him to generate a Personal Token for you so you can easily update the theme in future.

    Hi Yigit, no luck so far… he might be on vacation for all i know ;) Anyways, you mentioned that if you help me update now it would be a one-time deal. I assume that if he does react to my messages at some point that I’ll be able to implement the normal update procedure?

    Hi Ronald,

    Yes, then he can generate a Personal Token – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and you can insert it in Enfold theme options to receive future updates :)

    Sounds good to me. Generating personal tokens is easy enough (when you have access to the account in question obviously) ;) Best, Ronald

    Please see below :) After the theme update I’ll also update to php 7.3, wasn’t sure if that’d work with Enfold v 3.3.2.

    By the way, daily backups (db + files) are made so updating should be safe.
