I installed updated Enfold, and it is *EXTREMELY* annoying that there is an addition of tabs on Elements settings.
Is there a way to disable that?
If not, I will have to revert to earlier version of Enfold.
January 21, 2020 at 5:46 am #1176551Hey MORTULGAAH,
I don’t understand your question, please try to explain a bit further.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 21, 2020 at 11:11 am #1176653Here, I took two screenshots from old and new Enfold to describe the issue.
As you will see, the new system requires more clicks to do the same, and generally slows down editing of options. That is highly negative, because sometimes when I have to search for an appropriate option, it is easier when I see them all, instead of clicking around.

January 22, 2020 at 9:15 am #1177035Hi,
Thanks for the clarification, I’ll forward your concern to our developers but I doubt that we can implement more than one design on the backend. This is a UX design path which we have chosen to follow to make the backend more intuitive and cleaner than the old layout of options.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 22, 2020 at 9:43 am #1177041I understand why you might do that, but Enfold is less usable with the new design, mainly because it is slower to work with. – There are more clicks to do stuff, and when one can not see options (as they are concealed) they are less likely to be used.
One important thing to note is that exactly this approach is why Gutenberg failed. More clicks to do stuff, less intuitive. It goes to the point that you enabled disabling Gutenberg / enabling classic editor directly in you theme – and there are other theme makers that do the same.
As is, I will revert to prior Enfold version.
January 22, 2020 at 10:01 am #1177083Hi,
We added already theme options to next release (4.7.3 or maybe 4.7.2.1) that allow to use the “old design” without toggles feature.
If you want we can provide you a beta version. Let us know.
Best regards,
GünterJanuary 22, 2020 at 10:57 am #1177108Wow. I am deeply impressed.
Please do provide me with beta. Thanks.
January 22, 2020 at 11:38 am #1177127Hi,
See private content. You will need an external program like winrar to unzip the file and upload with ftp to your server.
If you need assistance please provide WP and ftp credentials and we can help you.Best regards,
GünterJanuary 22, 2020 at 11:55 am #1177134I got to be honest, I’m not a fan of the Toggles either.
There is probably a lot of work behind it to implement this feature.
Maybe just one option in the Enfold settings dialog ( f.e. in the layout-architect tab ) is enough to have them all opened.January 22, 2020 at 12:16 pm #1177148Thanks on a link. Will upload.
January 22, 2020 at 12:55 pm #1177165Hi,
Forgot to mention:
Goto Enfold -> Layout Builder -> Options Toggles In Modal Popup
If you are also interested: please open a new thread so we can give you the link and password.

January 22, 2020 at 4:53 pm #1177227Hi,
Great, I’m glad that we could implement that so easily, I thought that it would be a lot more difficult :-)
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 22, 2020 at 5:40 pm #1177237Thanks Günter – i can wait till next update
January 23, 2020 at 9:56 am #1177479January 23, 2020 at 2:17 pm #1177603I would also like the beta version as my Popup Builder has broken and I think it’s something to do with this toggle issue (which by the way I 100% agree with Günter, so time-consumingly annoying). Can I try it out and see?? I’ll create a new thread for my issues meanwhile….
January 23, 2020 at 2:33 pm #1177619Hi,
@lucindaholland some of the assets are returning 404 on your website. I believe the issue you are having is not related to theme update but please start a new thread so we can share beta version with you and if that does not help, look into the issue :)Regards,
