    Hey Basilis,

thanks for the hint, but it seems, that the code has changed since then: see screenshot.

the code snippet is now in line 693 and unfortunately it doesn’t work.

    Any other suggestion?

    Hi Basilis,

    once again:

the autostart changing of code is working fine in safari and firefox browser,
    but not in chrome …

is there a addon necessary for chrome?

    thanks and regards,
    paul

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

You have to mute the videos if you want them to automatically play on page load. This is in accordance with the browsers’ policy for media files.

    // https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes

    Chrome’s autoplay policies are simple:

    Muted autoplay is always allowed.
Autoplay with sound is allowed if:
User has interacted with the domain (click, tap, etc.).
On desktop, the user’s Media Engagement Index threshold has been crossed, meaning the user has previously played video with sound.
The user has added the site to their home screen on mobile or installed the PWA on desktop.
Top frames can delegate autoplay permission to their iframes to allow autoplay with sound.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Autostart mp4 does work but the sound not since updating to latest Enfold version today. It says “Video will be muted by default”. Where can I change this? Page is not yet online.

    Hi,

@Maureen van Goethem: As mentioned above, videos will not automatically play on page load if audio is enabled. Please check the link above for the full description of the new autoplay policy. If you want to enable the audio of the slide, make sure that the Video Settings > Mute Video Player option is off.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I’m sorry … I want both… and enable the autoplay and enable audio. Isn’t there anything possible?

    #1174737

    Hi,

Unfortunately, this is not possible because of the browsers’ autoplay policy. There’s just no way around it.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
