Hi!
I am helping a client that uses Enfold theme with WPML. The client uses 3 languages; Swedish, english and german.
Everything has worked smoothly until now.
The problem is that I cannot change the content on a certain page in the english and german languages when using enfold page builder (Advanced Layout Builder).
The problem is found on this page: https://www.ahusturf.se/wp-admin/post.php?post=13872&action=edit&lang=sv

I read that Enfold theme works great with WPML and I have been in contact with WPML. I debugged the site as WPML team requested by deactivating all plugins except WPML, but the problem remained with the enfold theme. Then I tried WPML with a standard twenty theme and everything worked. How should we proceed?
Best regards

January 21, 2020 at 9:39 am #1176617Hi,
Sorry for the delay. The following documentation should guide you on how to properly translate pages built using the advance layout builder with WPML. Please take note of the required extensions
Make sure that the WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML String Translation, WPML Translation Management, and WPML Media Translation plugins are activated.

All the pages work with all the languages except for the page pasted in the private content so the problem should somewhere else. Please help us. Thank you in advance.
January 25, 2020 at 1:15 am #1178242I‘ve got this problem sometimes on single Products/Pages/Articles. My Solution in this case is to delete the translated Product/… in the destination Language. After that I start again the Advanced Translation Editor (Translation is still there) and save. After that procedure the Translation works again Fine…
January 27, 2020 at 8:41 am #1178596Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We created and translated a test page (see private field) using the translation editor and it works well.
You may need to delete the “Partner” page and recreate it from scratch. Make sure that you use the translation editor this time. Please watch the video in the documentation above.
@jan_behr: Thank you for the info.

IsmaelJanuary 27, 2020 at 2:44 pm #1178708Hi Ismael,
I used the test page as a base for the “partner” page. Everything seemed to work until I added them to the main menu. After that I could not change anything on the english or german version of the page. But suddently it started working, but after a 10 minutes I could not change anything again.
How should I proceed?
Thanks in advance
January 29, 2020 at 4:04 am #1179264Hi,
Everything seemed to work until I added them to the main menu.
How did you add them in the main menu? The translated pages are displaying the appropriate content, but when we try to edit the EN version from SE, the translation editor displays the SE version for both languages. It works fine when we edit the EN version directly. Is that the issue?
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 30, 2020 at 11:43 am #1179776Hi,
I added them to the menu the normal way (Appearance -> Menu).
The problem is that when I edit the EN version directly, it does not change anything on the page. Please try to edit something on the EN version and you will see that the change does not get applied.
Thanks in advance
January 31, 2020 at 1:37 pm #1180260Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We created another example (see private field). Please edit the EN and DE page using the translation editor. You should not edit them with the advance layout builder. If you want to add more content, edit the SE version of the page first, then use the translation editor to change the content of the other languages.
Best regards,
Ismael -
