Some of my pages are loading incredible slow when i want to edit them and can’t be edited at all because the web browser (it doesn’t matter whether Chrome or Edge) Shows the message “web page is not responding do you want ot wait or abort?”
I already asked the company which is hosting our website, whether the cpu or the memory is overloaded but they denied.
So can you give me a hint which element of the page has an error?
Thanks

Could you please attach a screencast of the issue?
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,

MichaelJanuary 8, 2020 at 5:23 pm #1171531Hi Michael,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
Especially pay attention to Jetpack and the other performance plugin that you have.

VictoriaJanuary 9, 2020 at 4:32 pm #1171856Hi Victoria,
we tested yesterday various possibilities and finally found that when using firefox as browser everything is ok.
If you use EDGE or CHROME as your browser, access to the website becomes so slow that it is impossible to edit the page.
Could it be the Software Reporter Tool which causes this slow down?January 10, 2020 at 4:05 am #1172048Hi,
Thanks for the update. What exactly is the Software Reporter Tool? Is that a browser plugin you are running maybe? If so then yes, it could be causing the problem. Did you try disabling it to see if it helps?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 10, 2020 at 8:51 am #1172080Hi,
I don’t know, whether this tool is necessary for the CHROME browser – please have a look at these links:
So I don’t want to run in trouble with other programs I didn’t disable it.
I think the question is, why does this tool slows down the access to edit the pages?
Can you check this out?Best regards

MichaelJanuary 13, 2020 at 2:42 am #1172613Hi,
Thank you for the update.
According to the article, the tool may take up some resources from the CPU causing high system load in your machine, which may in turn interfere with other applications including the browser itself and cause the whole system to slow down.
It may cause a high system load when it scans the system. User reports range from it using 30% and more CPU while running. Since it may run for as long as 20 minutes, that is something that may interfere with other activity on the computer.
Did you try this on another machine without a Chrome browser?
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 13, 2020 at 9:07 am #1172690Hi,
as I posted before, I tested the FIREFOX browser – having no problems at all.
So my question is whether it is up to your design which leads to the delay using the CHROME – Browser?
I never mentioned this with other designs.
Nevertheless we are using now the FIREFOX browser..Best regards,
MichaelJanuary 14, 2020 at 12:21 pm #1173247Hey!
So my question is whether it is up to your design which leads to the delay using the CHROME – Browser?
We can’t reproduce the issue on our end, so it’s probably not an issue with the theme. Do you have a lot of extensions in your Chrome browser? What is the actual specs of the device/computer where you are testing this?
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 14, 2020 at 1:13 pm #1173296I’ve the same issues. Lots of load on my website http://www.dekoff.nl
Probally a issue with the theme.
January 15, 2020 at 3:41 am #1173770Hi,
@dekoff: Thank you for chiming in. Please open a new thread and post the login details in the private field so that we can test the site on our end. It’s possible that another plugin or a custom script is causing the issue because we can’t reproduce the problem on our end. Also, make sure that the theme is upgraded to version 4.7.1.Best regards,
Ismael -
