    Hey gb,

Are any of those problems actually occurring on your site? If not then you can ignore those warnings.

Well, I prefer the look of the desktop layout so I have opted to turn off the “responsive site” option for mobile viewing.

However 50% of my sites traffic is mobile. I realize that visitors probably zoom in to see the nav buttons and read text.

!. Is that a bad approach?

    2. Does google penalize me for this in searches?

    Hi gb,

Could you please give us a link to your website, we need more context to be able to help you.

Well, those errors are bad and Google might not even show the website.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

I would say it is a bad approach as it kinda messes up user expectation. Most sites are mobile responsive these days to it could be a bit jarring for your site not to be. Is it for a particular reason not to be responsive.

    Hey Jordan,

The reason is the aesthetic, the way the site looks, the layout.

I prefer the desktop layout to the mobile layout.

but maybe its a personal thing?

PS – I have checked “Notify me of follow up replies via email” yet I often don’t get them?

    Hi,

Most things can be changed on your mobile site, so I would recommend that you use the responsive setting instead of the desktop. I personally prefer to have an easy-to-use site instead of pretty and hard to use.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

I have now switched the site to responsive, I see the wisdom there :-)

    Thanks for the support :-)
