Hi Kriesi,
thank you so much for this amazing theme!!!
This might be a very basic question, but looks like I cannot manage to figure it out via the forum, sorry. Would appreciate individual advice!
My site is running on Enfold 4.1.2. Apparently the credentials I filled in before didn’t work for the update, but I never noticed, embarassingly enough… So now I purchased another brandnew license and entered my new themeforest username and generated an API key, but I’m not quite sure if it is just for FTP or the right one to get the automated theme updates.
However, it says in the theme update section that there are no theme updates available.
Please could you let me know how to solve this to be able to update the theme?
Thank you very much!
Kind regards,

Well, the automatic updates system does not work properly all sometimes. You can update via FTP, you can go to your Themeforest account and download a fresh version there.
In the new version of the theme, you get the field to add the token in the theme options.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,

appreciate the quick reply, thanks!
Just to make sure because I am paranoid about losing the content of my site while updating via sftp – which folders/files would I be replacing without losing the content?

You can rename the old Enfold folder and upload the new one and when all works as expected, you can remove the old folder.

thank you so much, could have come up with that idea myself… ;) It worked nicely for my site.
However, it’s not working for another site I’m administering.. the site crashes when I try to replace the old Enfold folder with the new one. Is there anything else that can be done in this case?
All the best,

Please check PHP version on your other site and make sure it is 7.x. If it is not, you can contact your hosting provider and they can upgrade it for you.
If that does not help, please post FTP and WP admin logins of the site where you are having issues so we can look into it :)
Regards,
