    I have social icons in header and footer, but they are not showing up. Just a blank space.

    If you do hover in the blank space, you see the background colours, but nothing else.

    How can I fix it? Why is this happening?

    I’m also having this issue. Only the email icon displays. The rest of the social icons on posts, in the footer and in the home page header no longer display.

    Hello, I just update to 4.7 and the icons are gone in a test site I have.

    Is there another fix?

    Hi,

    Also just updated to 4.7 and the icons are still missing. I had to use the same fix as previous version i.e. replace ‘function-set-avia-frontend.php’ code.

    Fixed in 4.7.1 perhaps?

    My theme says it’s up to date with version 4.5.3. Please excuse my ignorance here, but how do I update to 4.71? My social icons in the footer have vanished, though they remain in the top bar…

    I appreciate any insight you can provide.

    J_Sako – I recall an update that required me to handle via FTP. The automated one always seemed to fail.
    I also would need to delete the existing Enfold folder/directory on the server and then upload the current one (unzipped). I am using a Child Theme, so I wasn’t concerned about losing settings, code, etc.

    Once updated – the automation worked fine with other, new updates.

    So that worked to a degree. Now up to 4.7.3 but still no icons in the footer. The site is newwavetaxidermy.com. Once again I appreciate any advice or insight you can provide.

    J_Sako – turn off the site caching plugins (if any) or settings in the Enfold theme. It might be a cache issue.

    I tried that first with no luck. I can work around it with actual images if I have to, just odd how the top bar works and the footer no longer does. Any other ideas are more than welcome before I have to rework it. Thank you once again, truly.
