    Hi,

Thanks for sharing @michaelH, did you have any luck with that @jaispirit? A new release of the theme should be available by tomorrow which should fix this problem.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
None of the social share icons now appear on my website either. Is the new release of Enfold imminent?

    Regards

    @OWPC

This is a known issue using Enfold after updating to WordPress 5.3.1.

Luckily, the Kriesi Media development team at Enfold have addressed the issue. The solution to the problem will be included within the next Enfold theme release which is expected sometime after the holidays. In the meantime, they have provided us with a way to patch the issue and restore the social media icon font functionality.

The solution involves simply replacing an existing file, specifically “function-set-avia-frontend.php” located within your “wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/” directory.

You may obtain the updated “function-set-avia-frontend.php” file from the following KriesiMedia GitHub repository:
    https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/blob/master/temp_fixes/Enfold_4_6_3/framework/function-set-avia-frontend.php

    Hi,

I believe the newly introduced (Version 4.6.3.1) ” rel=”noreferrer noopener” for a target=”_blank” and cross domain links to ALB elements, menus and other links ” causes the icons to disappear. This also happens to social profile icons in header and footer.

The function avia_targeted_link_rel() is called in line 173 of enfold\includes\helper-social-media.php.
Commenting it out //$html = avia_targeted_link_rel( $html ); solves the problem for now.

    Best regards,

    Emazing

    Hi,
I am using the latest enfold version 4.7.4
The social icons in the header and footer are not visible. The areas where they have been in former times react on mouseover (coloured highlight) and the links are still working.
Can you help me to make them visible again?
    Best regards
    Henning
