Hi!
Here is the enfold example of what I am talking about:
https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-shop/shop/?filter_color=blackI am wondering if a slide show can be used like the layer slider?
Thanks,
GB

Yes, the shop banner can be a slideshow, if you want it like layerslider, you can use a layerslider instead of other alternative sliders.
Best regards,

The thing is I am using the default WooCommerce Shop page it generated and that page does not allow for such modifications like using the Advanced layout editor.
So unless I am missing something? For now I am just using the Shop Banner image option within the enfold theme.
By the way, I can not seem to find what the dimensions are supposed to be for the shop banner image, could you provide me with that info in case the shop banner image is going to be my option instead of a slide show at the top of my shop.
THANKS,
GB

December 12, 2019 at 6:28 pm #1165274Hi GB,
The banner image is 1500 x 997px however it doesn’t really matter that much because it’s set to stretch the image to cover the whole area so some part of the background image is cut off (just hidden).
As for the shop banner, Enfold doesn’t have the backend option but you can use the layerslider shortcode and woocommerce hook.Best regards,

I used those dimensions however the banner is much more cropped than the image I slayed out to those aspects.
How do I design a banner image if I do not know where the edges of the image will be?
Any insights much appreciated :-)

December 17, 2019 at 4:39 am #1166664Hi,
Thank you for following up.
Could you provide an example of the image that you’d like to use in the banner? Try to resize the banner image based on the size of the current image used in the demo (1500x997px) or based on the standard screen sizes (1920×1024, 1600x900px, 1360x768px etc). It is also recommended not to directly embed text in the banner images because as you may have noticed, the parallax container is automatically resized to cover the whole banner container and to create the parallax scroll effect.
Best regards,

Here is a link to my shop banner:
https://www.gregorybeylerian.com/shop/I am using the 1500×997 file size suggestion to create the test used in this link.
Is there an easy way to turn this image location into a slide show?
Thanks,
GB

Thank you for the update.

This is possible, but it will require a lot of modifications. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to help you with it because it’s outside the scope of support. If you want to try it, first you have to convert the Shop Banner Image thumbnail uploader to a gallery media uploader so that you can insert multiple images to the slideshow, then modify the avia_woocommerce_parallax_banner function in the config-woocommerce > config.php file to render a slideshow instead of the default parallax banner. You can probably use the theme’s slideshow shortcode as a replacement, but then again this will require a handful of modifications.
Cheers!
